SevenGates Confluence Indicator
1. Introduction (The Big Picture)
SevenGates Confluence Indicator is a non‑repainting, multi‑timeframe decision support tool that displays the exact same 7‑gate filter system used in our automated EAs. It does not trade – it shows you, in real time, when the market aligns on Monthly, Weekly, Daily, H4, and H1 timeframes, and when a high‑probability trigger candle forms.
What it does:
It evaluates up to 50 symbols (or just one, depending on your chart) and displays a clean dashboard with:
-
Current bias (bullish / bearish / neutral)
-
Confluence quality score (0–10+)
-
Pass/fail status for all 7 gates
-
H1 trigger candle detection
-
Session indicator (London, New York, Asian)
What it does NOT do:
It does not place orders, manage risk, or trade automatically. It is a manual trading tool – you decide when to enter, where to place your stop loss, and when to take profit.
Supported symbols:
All major and minor FX pairs, plus XAUUSD (Gold), as long as they are in the Market Watch and have H1/H4 data. The indicator automatically scans up to 50 symbols.
Timeframes:
Works on any timeframe, but the logic is based on H1 trigger candles and H4/H1 filters. For best results, attach to an H1 chart.
2. Core Logic – The Same 7 Gates Used in the EA
The indicator applies the identical filter system as our multi‑currency EA. Every H1 bar, it recalculates each gate for every symbol.
| Gate | What it checks | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| G0 – ATR Expansion | H4 ATR > 70% of its 50‑period average | Avoids low‑volatility chop |
| G1 – HTF Bias | Monthly, Weekly, Daily candle scores agree (bull/bear) | Captures the macro direction |
| G2 – H4 Confluence | Heiken Ashi + EMA slope on H4 support the HTF bias | Confirms intermediate trend |
| G3 – Price Location | Price not at weekly exhaustion zone (>0.95 or <0.05) | Avoids chasing extremes |
| G4 – Session | London, New York, or overlap | Trades only during liquid hours |
| G5 – ADX | ADX(14) >= 20 on H4 | Ensures trend strength |
| G6 – HTF Structure | Price not at monthly/weekly resistance/support | Protects against major reversal zones |
When all 7 gates pass, the indicator computes a quality score (0–10+) and begins monitoring for an H1 trigger candle – a strong directional candle with minimal wick. When a trigger candle closes, the indicator displays a ◆ symbol in the dashboard and can send an alert.
3. Key Features & Benefits (For Manual Traders)
Benefit 1 – Same logic as a professional EA
You are using the exact same confluence model that powers our automated EAs. No second‑class tool – just full transparency.
Benefit 2 – Live dashboard for up to 50 symbols
See at a glance which symbols are aligned, their quality score, gate status, and whether a trigger candle just appeared.
Benefit 3 – Customizable alerts
Get pop‑up, email, or push notifications when:
-
A symbol passes all 7 gates (new signal available)
-
An H1 trigger candle closes
-
The quality score changes significantly
Benefit 4 – No repainting
All calculations are based on closed H1, H4, Daily, Weekly, Monthly candles. The trigger candle is confirmed only after the H1 bar closes. No false signals that disappear.
Benefit 5 – Fully configurable
Every parameter of the 7 gates is adjustable: ATR period, ADX threshold, session hours, location levels, structure zone pips, etc. You can tune the indicator to your own risk tolerance.
Benefit 6 – Works alongside any EA
Run it on a separate chart to monitor when your other EAs might be active – or use it as a manual override filter.
4. Dashboard Explained
The dashboard shows one row per symbol. Columns include:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Symbol | Currency pair or commodity |
| Signal | ▲ BUY / ▼ SELL / --- neutral |
| Q | Quality score (higher = stronger confluence) |
| ATR | ATR expansion ratio (green if >0.7) |
| M/W/D | Monthly, Weekly, Daily candle scores |
| H4 | H4 confluence score (Heiken Ashi + MA) |
| LOC | Price location (ZONE / ACSB / MID / EXHST) |
| SES | Current session (LONDON / NEW YORK / ASIAN / ---) |
| Gates | 7 dots: ● = pass, ○ = fail |
| ★ | Star rating based on quality score |
| Trig | ◆ appears when an H1 trigger candle closes |
| State | IDLE / WATCH / TRIGGER |
| Blk | BLOCK if correlation guard would block (optional, shows EA logic) |
You can hide the dashboard or move it anywhere on the chart.

6. Performance & Transparency
Is this indicator a “holy grail”?
No. It is a tool that helps you identify high‑confluence trade setups based on classical technical analysis. Like any system, it will have losing periods, false signals, and drawdowns. The 7 gates reduce noise but do not eliminate risk.
What you can expect:
-
Fewer, higher‑quality trade signals compared to a single‑timeframe indicator.
-
Clear reasoning for every signal (you see exactly which gates passed).
-
No repainting, no curve‑fitting, no hidden parameters.
7. How to Use It – Practical Workflow
-
Attach the indicator to an H1 chart (any symbol – it will scan all others automatically).
-
Enable ShowDashboard and position it on the right side of your screen.
-
Wait for a symbol to show a ▲ BUY or ▼ SELL signal with a quality score of 5 or higher.
-
Wait for the ◆ trigger symbol to appear (means the H1 trigger candle just closed).
-
Manually enter a trade in the direction of the signal, using the trigger candle’s low/high as a reference for your stop loss.
-
Manage your own take profit and trailing stop (the indicator does not manage trades).
