PropFirm Ascent is a gold Expert Advisor (XAUUSD, M30) designed around the rules of funded and prop-firm accounts: one trade a day at most, a stop loss on every trade, and no positions held overnight. It is fully automatic and needs no strategy tuning.
It works just as well on your own real account as on prop-firm challenges and funded accounts.
Why traders choose it
- Small, controlled daily risk. With the default settings a losing day costs about 1.25 % of the balance, well inside a typical 5 % daily loss limit.
- Flat every evening. Every trade is closed the same day, so there is no overnight, weekend or rollover exposure.
- Stop loss at the server. It is sent with the order and does not depend on the terminal staying connected.
- Equity drawdown guard. At the limit you choose, it closes everything and stops trading. The peak is remembered after a restart.
- No grid, no martingale, no averaging, no loss recovery.

How it trades
The robot trades the intraday expansion of gold after quiet market phases. Every signal must be confirmed before an entry, and the trade is managed with a fixed stop loss and a time-based exit on the same day.
Built to be robust
- 21 years of gold, two independent data sets, one set of inputs. 2005 to 2017 (Dukascopy M1) and 2018 to 2026 (real ticks, 100 % quality), with no re-optimisation between them.
- Every market regime. The 2008 crisis, the 2011 peak, the 2013 crash, COVID in 2020, the 2022 rate hikes and the record highs of 2024 to 2026.
- Same trades on any broker. Verified trade by trade on GMT+0, GMT+2/+3, fixed GMT+3 and European summer-time servers.
- 2018 to 2026: +10,590 USD on 10,000, profit factor 1.40, maximum equity drawdown 9.7 %, 684 trades, 8 of 9 years positive.
- 2005 to 2017: +13,858 USD on 10,000, profit factor 1.30, maximum equity drawdown 13.7 %, 945 trades, 11 of 13 years positive.
- Win rate about 52 %, average win larger than average loss, longest losing streak 8 trades.

Setup in three steps
- Attach it to an XAUUSD M30 chart. Keep MetaTrader running; a VPS is recommended.
- Broker time: nothing to set. The robot detects your broker's clock and its summer time by itself, also in the Strategy Tester (GMT+2/+3, GMT+0, fixed GMT+3, European summer time...), so it trades the same way on any broker.
- Risk: keep the default (about 1.25 % per trade, scaled with the balance) or use a fixed lot. On prop-firm accounts, match it to the firm's daily and maximum loss limits.

- Broker time: Automatic (manual winter offset and summer rule as an advanced option).
- Account protection: equity drawdown limit (%), remember the peak after a restart.
