Forex Fix Clock
- Utilities
- Version: 1.0
A lot of FX volume goes through a few benchmark fixes. Corporate and fund orders are filled at those prices every day, and on some days the orders are much bigger. Forex Fix Clock shows when each fix happens in your broker's server time. On a typical broker clock the London 4pm fix is at 18:00 for most of the year and at 19:00 for a few weeks each spring and autumn, and the Tokyo fix moves between 02:55 and 03:55.
What it shows
- A small panel with the next Tokyo fix (09:55 Tokyo), Tokyo option cut (15:00 Tokyo), ECB reference rate (14:15 Frankfurt), New York option cut (10:00 New York), London 4pm fix (WM/R) and New York 5pm close. Each has a live countdown, and the next one is highlighted.
- Lines on the chart at the four main fixes (Tokyo, ECB, New York cut, London 4pm) over the last few days, so you can look at what price did around them. You can show all six instead, or none.
- Shading on gotobi days. On the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and the last day of the month, Japanese companies settle payments and buy dollars at the Tokyo fix. When one of those dates falls on a weekend or a Japanese holiday, the settlement happens on the business day before, and that is the day the indicator shades. You can switch to marking every date divisible by 5 instead.
- Shading on month-end, quarter-end and year-end, when rebalancing orders go through the London 4pm fix.
- Optional alerts before any fix, as a pop-up, push notification or sound.
Tokyo doesn't use daylight saving. London and Frankfurt change their clocks on European dates and New York on US dates, so for a few weeks in March, and again from late October to early November, the gaps between them shift. The indicator works out each city's time separately and converts it to your broker's server time.

The indicator does not trade and does not give buy or sell signals. It shows when the flows happen and leaves the trading decision to you. Japanese holidays, including substitute days, are calculated for any year, so there are no yearly updates to wait for. London and New York fixes are shown on every weekday. It works on any symbol and timeframe.
