EventBurst - trades the first hour after a Fed policy decision
WHAT IT DOES
Nothing is placed before the release. When the Fed publishes its decision the
EA measures the move of that hour, and if the move is large enough it enters
at the open of the NEXT hour, in the direction the market went. A fixed stop
and a 2.5R target are attached, and the trade is closed after four hours at
the latest.
WHY THE NEXT BAR
Filling at the release itself is not reachable in practice: the spread widens
and the price is already gone. The EA therefore waits for the release hour to
close and enters at the following bar's open. Every number below is produced
that way, so a buyer can reproduce it.
RELEASE DATES
The Fed decision dates are embedded in the EA - 57 of them, through 2028.
No external file, no internet connection, nothing to download from the seller.
The EA reads the actual scheduled time of each decision, so it is unaffected by
the summer/winter shift between 18:00 and 19:00 UTC.
HONEST SCOPE - PLEASE READ
- This is a GOLD strategy. On EURUSD the same rules lose money in the test
below (profit factor 0.81). Do not expect it to work on everything.
- It trades about SIX times a year. Most weeks it does nothing at all.
- The backtest below contains 33 trades. That is a small sample and
should be treated as such.

THE CONTROL THAT MATTERS
Run the same EA with BurstMode set to Fade and it trades against the burst
instead of with it - same dates, same stops, same sizing:
Continuation (default) profit factor 4.10
Fade (reversed) profit factor 0.68
Reversing the direction turns the result into a loss. That is the evidence the
direction of the first hour carries information, rather than the position
simply being paid for holding gold.
Strategy Tester backtest - 2021.01.01 to 2026.08.08, 1-minute OHLC model, 10,000 USD, fixed 0.10 lot, 1:100, broker spreads and commission.

REQUIREMENTS
MetaTrader 5, hedging account, any broker. Attach to gold on the H1 chart.
RISK
Entering right after a policy decision means wide spreads and slippage. Size
positions accordingly and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
