VibeFox Squeeze Detector — squeeze compression, momentum and entry points
VibeFox Squeeze Detector is a real-time Squeeze Detector indicator for MetaTrader 5. It identifies periods when the market compresses into a tight range and then measures the momentum building beneath the surface, so you can act the moment the market breaks free. The classic squeeze logic and the momentum histogram live in a separate subwindow, while the entry markers land right on the price chart and all controls are gathered into one modern interactive panel.
What the indicator measures
The core idea is a comparison between two volatility envelopes that expand and contract at different speeds. Bollinger Bands react quickly to volatility: when they narrow inside the Keltner Channel, the market has entered a squeeze — a period of compressed range where energy accumulates before a directional move. The moment the Bollinger Bands widen back outside the Keltner Channel, the squeeze is released and a move is likely under way.
The momentum histogram quantifies that energy. It is built from a linear regression of price displacement from the midline, so it shows not only whether momentum is positive or negative but also whether it is accelerating or fading. Rising green bars above zero mean bullish momentum is growing; falling green bars mean it is weakening. Red bars below zero work the same way on the bearish side. The zero line is drawn as a dashed reference so the direction of a cross is always visible at a glance.
Squeeze dots
A row of colored dots sits on the zero line and shows the current squeeze state bar by bar. Gray dots mean the market is in a normal squeeze. Red dots signal a tighter squeeze at the standard level. Orange dots mark the tightest squeeze state, where the Bollinger Bands are at their most compressed inside the Keltner Channel. A green dot means no squeeze is active — the bands have expanded outside the channel.
Squeeze Pro: three levels
When Pro Mode is on, the indicator evaluates three separate squeeze levels simultaneously using different Keltner Channel multipliers — wide, normal and narrow. Each dot color then reflects which of the three levels is currently active, giving a richer picture of how compressed the market is at any moment. In standard mode only the base multiplier is used and the dots show a simpler on/off squeeze state.
Entry points
Two independent entry signals are available. Each has its own toggle on the panel, and both can be active at the same time.
Squeeze Fired
The primary signal fires at the moment a squeeze releases — that is, on the first bar where the Bollinger Bands move back outside the Keltner Channel after a period of compression. The direction of the entry is read from the momentum histogram at that bar: a positive momentum value produces a BUY marker, a negative value produces a SELL marker. This catches the precise moment the compressed range gives way to a directional move.
Momentum Shift
The second signal fires when the momentum histogram crosses the zero line. A cross from below upward generates a BUY marker; a cross from above downward generates a SELL marker. This is useful as a standalone momentum signal or as a confirmation after a squeeze fires.
Both signals place arrow markers directly on the price chart. The Buy and Sell colors are set individually in the panel, and the Size control scales the marker from 1 to 5 to suit any chart density.
Full visual control
The histogram bar colors tell a four-way story at a glance: bright green for positive and rising, dark green for positive and falling, bright red for negative and falling, dark red for negative and rising. This lets you see at once whether momentum is accelerating into a move or beginning to fade. The squeeze dots below the histogram give the compression state for every historical bar without cluttering the price chart.
Interactive on-chart panel
The whole interface is a smooth canvas-based panel built for fast mouse control. Squeeze parameters, Pro settings and entry controls are laid out in tidy three-column rows, with the entry block set apart under a gold ENTRY heading so signal settings never get mixed up with calculation settings. The panel header holds the control icons.
Power — turns the histogram, dots and entry markers on and off without removing the indicator from the chart.
Settings (gear) — opens and closes the settings section.
Updown (arrows) — moves the panel between the separate subwindow and the main chart.
Close (cross) — closes the indicator.
Resizable — drag the bottom-right corner to scale the panel.
Collapsible — a double click on the header collapses the panel into a compact strip.
Mouse wheel — hover over any numeric field and scroll the wheel to change the value without opening the keyboard.
Settings and personalization
The Settings button opens a section where the panel is fitted to your workspace: a light, dark or automatic Theme, an adjustable panel width, header size, row height and font size. Extra touches let you hide the bottom bar via Hide Footer, shrink the header when collapsed with Mini Header, and automatically close the panel on a click outside it. Almost every parameter changes live right on the panel — the Inputs tab only sets the starting values. You can also run several independent copies on one chart by giving each a unique Instance number.
Entry notifications
You do not need to watch the chart to catch a signal. Each entry can be sent through several notification channels that are enabled independently right on the panel.
Alert — a pop-up message inside the terminal.
Push — a mobile notification to the MetaTrader app on your phone.
Email — a letter sent through the terminal's mail settings.
Telegram — the alert text together with a chart screenshot, sent straight to your Telegram chat.
Enable only the channels you need, and you will be notified the moment a new entry signal appears on the symbol and timeframe you are watching.
Visual history (HTML report)
Enable the Html channel and every entry signal is saved to an HTML report together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment it fired. The report is stored in the terminal's Files folder under VibeFox_SqueezeDetector and opens in any browser — you get a visual log of every signal the indicator found. A one-click trash button clears the report and its screenshots whenever you want to start fresh.
Signals can also be delivered straight to your Telegram chat — the alert text together with a chart screenshot. Turn on the Telegram channel and enter your bot token and chat id in the inputs. Delivery rides on the HTML report: the report opened in a browser forwards the signal to Telegram on its own. For this reason, enabling Telegram automatically keeps the Html report on.

Parameters (Inputs tab)
Most settings can also be changed live right on the panel (the Settings button) — the input parameters only set the initial values at startup.
Squeeze
BB Length — Bollinger Bands moving-average and standard-deviation period, range 2..200. Default: 20.
BB Multiplier — standard-deviation multiplier for the Bollinger Bands width. Default: 2.0.
KC Length — Keltner Channel period (also used as the squeeze midline window), range 2..200. Default: 20.
KC Multiplier (base) — range multiplier for the Keltner Channel; determines the base squeeze threshold. Default: 1.5.
Pro
Pro Mode (3 squeeze levels) — when on, evaluates three squeeze thresholds simultaneously (wide / normal / narrow) for a richer dot color scale. Default: off.
Momentum Length — linear-regression period used to calculate the momentum histogram, range 2..200. Default: 20.
MTF Timeframe — the timeframe used for all calculations; Current means the chart's own timeframe. Default: Current.
Entry Points
Squeeze Fired signal (squeeze release) — places an entry marker when the Bollinger Bands exit the Keltner Channel after a squeeze; momentum sign sets direction. Default: off.
Momentum Shift signal (histogram zero cross) — places an entry marker each time the histogram crosses zero; direction follows the cross. Default: off.
Marker Size (1-5) — size of the signal arrow on the price chart. Default: 2.
Buy Color — color of the BUY signal marker. Default: LimeGreen.
Sell Color — color of the SELL signal marker. Default: Red.
Notifications
Push Notification — push notification to the mobile MetaTrader terminal. Default: off.
Alert Popup — Alert pop-up window inside the terminal. Default: off.
Email — a letter through the terminal's mail settings. Default: off.
Html Report — saves every signal with a screenshot to an HTML report (Files folder, VibeFox_SqueezeDetector directory), opens in any browser. Default: off.
Telegram (send from result.html via JS) — sends each signal to your Telegram chat (alert text plus a chart screenshot) through the HTML report. Default: off.
Telegram - bot token — the token of your Telegram bot.
Telegram - chat id — the id of the Telegram chat that receives the signals.
Panel / Settings
Panel width, px (300..800) — panel width in pixels. Default: 800.
Header size (1..6) — header size index. Default: 1.
Theme — color theme: Auto (by chart), Dark or Light. Default: Auto.
Row height (px) — panel row height in pixels. Default: 34.
Font size — panel font size. Default: 8.
Hide Footer — hide the panel's bottom bar. Default: off.
Mini Header on collapse — show a mini header when collapsed. Default: off.
Close on click outside — close the panel on a click outside it. Default: off.
Instance (unique per copy: 1,2,3...) — indicator copy number; lets you keep several independent copies on one chart. Default: 1.
