FOREX17 MOUSE TRADING ASSISTANT (F17MTA)
Forex17 Mouse Trading Assistant (F17MTA) is a visual trading tool designed to assist manual order placement directly from the chart using mouse and keyboard interaction.
It focuses on structured execution and visual control, allowing traders to define entry, stop loss, and take profit levels in a clear and intuitive way.
====================== IMPORTANT NOTICE ======================
If you are using a NETTING account, please read the "ACCOUNT TYPE BEHAVIOR" section at the end of this description before purchasing.
This is important to understand how the tool behaves in this account type.
- AutoTrading must be enabled in MetaTrader 5, otherwise the tool may not initialize or send orders
====================== MAIN FUNCTIONALITY ======================
- Press and hold B to activate Buy pending mode
- Press and hold S to activate Sell pending mode
- While holding B or S:
- Move the mouse over the chart to define price levels
- Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels are displayed dynamically
- Release B or S to cancel the positioning mode
- While holding B or S, click on the chart to place pending orders
- If B or S is not pressed, mouse clicks will not trigger any order
- This allows precise and controlled order placement directly from the chart
====================== VISUAL INTERACTION ======================
- Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels are displayed dynamically based on mouse position
- Levels update in real time as the mouse moves
- Provides visual support before confirming order placement
====================== STRATEGIES AND EXECUTION ======================
- Supports two configurable strategies, switchable directly from the panel
- Each strategy allows:
- Name
- Base Lot multipliers (per target)
- Target distances (in points)
- Stop distance (in points)
- The same structure is used for:
- Pending orders via mouse interaction
- Market orders via panel buttons
- Ensures consistent behavior across execution modes
====================== LOT CALCULATION ======================
- Lot size is calculated as:
- Base Lot x Multiplier
- Example:
- Base Lot = 0.01
- Multiplier = 2
- Result = 0.02 lots
- The Base Lot acts as a global scaling factor
- To increase or decrease overall trading volume:
- You only need to adjust the Base Lot
- Strategy configurations remain unchanged
- This allows fast and consistent volume adjustment across all strategies
====================== MULTIPLE TARGETS ======================
- Multiple targets can be configured using comma-separated values
- Example:
- Base Lot = 0.01
- Multipliers = 5, 3, 1
- Targets = 200, 500, 1000
- Result:
- Target 1 -> 0.05 lots
- Target 2 -> 0.03 lots
- Target 3 -> 0.01 lots
====================== PAIR VALIDATION ======================
- Pairs are formed using the minimum number of values between multipliers and targets
- Each pair is validated individually
- Invalid pairs are discarded
- During initialization:
- Valid pairs are printed in the Expert log
- If no valid pairs are found in at least one strategy:
- The panel will not initialize
====================== STOP LOSS ======================
- Each strategy uses a single Stop Loss shared across all targets
====================== ORDER MANAGEMENT ======================
- Delete all pending orders
- Close all open positions
- Close all (orders and positions)
- All actions are available through panel buttons
====================== PANEL INFORMATION ======================
- Base Lot display
- Open position result (profit/loss)
====================== CUSTOMIZATION ======================
- Buy/Sell colors (lines and buttons)
- Panel width
- Row height
- Spacing between rows
- Font size
====================== STANDARD VS BASIC VERSION ======================
The Basic version supports single target execution, which is well suited for simpler trade management or single-entry strategies.
The use of two strategies allows flexible configurations and can be used to simulate a dual-target approach through sequential execution by switching between properly configured strategies.
The Standard version provides full multi-target functionality for more advanced position management, with multi-target execution conveniently handled within a single strategy.
Both versions share the same execution logic and interface, allowing consistent behavior across different usage styles.
Key Differences
Key Differences
- Standard version:
- Designed for hedging accounts
- Supports full multi-target execution
- Paid version
- Basic version:
- Supports single target execution
- Free to use
- Can be used in both hedging and netting accounts (see ACCOUNT TYPE BEHAVIOR)
====================== ACCOUNT TYPE BEHAVIOR ======================
This tool is designed for hedging accounts and behaves as intended in this environment.
In netting accounts, positions are merged into a single position.
- Stop Loss and Take Profit are continuously updated based on new executions
- Individual Take Profits are not preserved
- Single target behavior:
- The first order behaves as expected
- When a new position is added, Stop Loss and Take Profit are replaced by the levels of the new entry
- Multi-target behavior:
- On the first execution, Stop Loss is placed as expected
- Take Profit may be assigned to one of the configured targets depending on broker execution
- When additional orders are executed:
- Stop Loss is updated to the most recent position
- Take Profit may shift between target levels depending on how orders are filled
- Multi-target execution in netting accounts may behave differently depending on how orders are executed
- This behavior is a limitation of the MetaTrader 5 netting system, not of the tool itself
If you are using a netting account, a free Basic version of this tool is available:
Forex17 Mouse Trading Assistant Basic
- Uses the same execution concept
- Supports single target execution
This may be a more suitable option for netting environments.
For full multi-target functionality and predictable behavior, a hedging account is recommended.
====================== IMPORTANT NOTES ======================
- Order execution depends on market conditions, spread, and broker execution
- Visual positioning depends on chart data and symbol specifications
- The tool assists execution and does not automate trading decisions
====================== FUTURE UPDATES ======================
- Lot sizing based on fixed financial value
- Lot sizing based on account percentage
- Strategy improvements
- Panel enhancements
- This tool is under continuous development
- Future updates will be presented in new versions and videos
