SnR Fresh Unfresh Level MT4 by RWBTradeLab

A clean, non-repainting Support & Resistance level tracker for MetaTrader 4 that shows you the ONE thing most level indicators hide: which levels are still FRESH (untested) and which are already UNFRESH (rejected). Every level is tracked live, state by state, from CLOSED candles only.

What This Indicator Does

The indicator creates SnR levels from 2-candle sequences and then tracks each level's state continuously:

Level Creation (Level = 1st candle Close, rounded to tick)

- A Level: Green -> Red — Resistance side

- V Level: Red -> Green — Support side

- Bullish Gap Level: Green -> Green — Support side

- Bearish Gap Level: Red -> Red — Resistance side

Every level is born FRESH.

Live State Tracking (updated on every bar close)

- Rejection => Fresh -> UNFRESH: a candle touches the level with its wick but closes back on the level's own side — the level has been tested and defended. Only a Fresh level can be turned Unfresh

- Breakout => a candle CLOSES through the level. The level flips its side (Support becomes Resistance, Resistance becomes Support) and is Fresh again on that new side. A breakout is applied whether the level was Fresh or Unfresh at the time; the alert fires only when it was Unfresh, because that is the state change worth being told about

So one level can live a full life: Fresh -> Unfresh -> (breakout, side flip) -> Fresh -> Unfresh ... exactly how a professional SnR trader tracks levels by hand.

Automatic Level Lifecycle

- Levels older than Scan Length bars are removed automatically — age is counted from the ORIGIN candle, the one whose close set the level price, so it matches where the level's line begins

- Max Levels cap keeps the chart fast on long histories

Every cell is drawn as its own filled box with a thin grid line, so the panel reads exactly the

same on a white chart and on a black one. It counts a state even when that state is switched off,

so the numbers describe the market rather than the screen.

How to Use

Attach the indicator to any symbol and any timeframe — forex, gold, indices, crypto. Green (Fresh) levels are untested zones the market has not defended yet — the highest-interest areas. Red (Unfresh) levels have already produced a rejection — expect weaker reactions there until a breakout makes them fresh again on the other side. For best results combine with higher-timeframe structure and your own trade plan.

MT4 Build

This is the MetaTrader 4 build. The detection engine is the same code as the MetaTrader 5 version,

so both platforms mark the same candles on the same chart. Only what MQL4 spells differently was

changed, and none of it touches a rule:

- MetaTrader 4 has no input groups, so the settings appear as one list with comment headers instead

of collapsible sections. The order and the names are unchanged

- The bar count, the tick size and the timeframe name are read through the MQL4 functions

- Where MetaTrader 5 removes an array element directly, this build shifts the list down a

slot, which does the same job and keeps the order intact

Everything else - the detection rules, the drawing, the summary panel, the alerts and the

non-repainting behaviour - is identical to the MetaTrader 5 version.

Important Notes

- Because the labels sit to the right of the last candle, the indicator switches the chart's "Shift end of the chart" option on so that space exists. This is a chart setting, so it stays on after the indicator is removed - turn it off in the chart toolbar if you prefer the old view

- Push notifications require your MetaQuotes ID in MT4 (Tools -> Options -> Notifications); email alerts require SMTP settings

- Alerts work while the terminal is running
