SnR Key Level MT4 by RWBTradeLab
A clean, non-repainting Support & Resistance key level detector for MetaTrader 4, built for price action traders who want clear, fixed SnR reference levels with breakout upgrades, smart overlap-free labels and optional alerts — all from CLOSED candles only.
What This Indicator Does
The indicator automatically detects and draws 6 types of SnR key levels from 2-candle sequences:
Base Key Levels
- A Level: Green -> Red (Level = 1st Green candle Close) — Resistance
- V Level: Red -> Green (Level = 1st Red candle Close) — Support
- Bullish Gap Level: Green -> Green (Level = 1st Green candle Close) — Support
- Bearish Gap Level: Red -> Red (Level = 1st Red candle Close) — Resistance
Breakout Upgrade Levels
- RBS (Resistance -> Support): a Green candle CLOSES above a resistance side level
- SBR (Support -> Resistance): a Red candle CLOSES below a support side level
A level keeps flipping for as long as price keeps closing through it. SBR belongs to the
resistance side and RBS to the support side, so a level can go RBS -> SBR -> RBS and what you see
on the chart is always what it is today, not what it was the first time it broke.
Key Features
Professional Chart Display
- Every level is drawn as a horizontal ray extended to the right
- All text labels are placed to the RIGHT of the last candle — your candles always stay clean
- Smart pixel-based label layout: nearby labels are staggered automatically, they NEVER overlap
- Labels re-arrange instantly when you zoom, scroll or resize the chart
- Color-coded levels: Resistance side (A / Bearish Gap / SBR) in red, Support side (V / Bullish Gap / RBS) in green — or switch to classic single-color mode
- Each type carries its own line signature, so a level stays readable even where labels crowd
together: thick solid for SBR / RBS (already broken once, the strongest), thin solid for
A / V (a clean turning point), dotted for the Gap levels (the most common and the weakest)
- Compact or full label text (e.g. "A Level" / "BullGap")
Non-Repainting Engine
- All levels are calculated on CLOSED candles only — no running-candle logic
- Levels are recalculated once per new bar, not on every tick (zero terminal lag)
- Optional merge filter for nearby duplicate levels (off by default)
- Automatic object cleanup — remove the indicator and the chart is spotless
Alerts (bar-close only, off by default)
- 6 alert types: A Level, V Level, Bullish Gap, Bearish Gap, SBR, RBS — each with its own On/Off switch
- 3 delivery channels: Popup, Push Notification, Email
- Every alert message includes level type, price, symbol, timeframe and time
- One master switch: turn it on and alerts work instantly

Scan
- Scan Length (closed candles) - how many recent closed candles are scanned
Level Types

- Color Lines by Level Type, resistance side colour, support side colour, single-mode colour and
line width
Labels
- Show Text Labels, compact label text, label font, font size and offset in ticks
Summary Table
- Show Summary Table, position (any of the four chart corners), font size, text colour, header
background, cell background and grid colour
Filters
- Merge Nearby Levels and merge distance in ticks
Alerts
- Master switch, Popup / Push / Email channels, and a separate switch for each of the six types
Summary Table
A two column panel in the chart corner - the level name and how many of them are currently held,
resistance side first:

Every cell is drawn as its own filled box with a thin grid line, so the panel reads exactly the same on a white chart and on a black one. The numbers come from the same scan that drew the lines, counted before the visibility switches and before the merge filter, so they describe what the scan found rather than what happens to be on screen.
How to Use
Attach the indicator to any symbol and any timeframe — forex, gold, indices, crypto. The key levels of the recent market appear instantly with clean labels on the right side. Watch how price reacts around fresh levels, and treat RBS/SBR conversions as breakout-confirmed role changes. For best results combine with higher-timeframe structure and your own trade plan.
MT4 Build
This is the MetaTrader 4 build. The detection engine is the same code as the MetaTrader 5 version,
so both platforms mark the same candles on the same chart. Four things are spelled differently
because MQL4 has no equivalent, and none of them touches a rule:
- MetaTrader 4 has no input groups, so the settings appear as one list with comment headers instead
of collapsible sections. The order and the names are unchanged
- The bar count, the tick size and the timeframe name are read through the MQL4 functions
- Where MetaTrader 5 removes an array element directly, the MT4 build shifts the list by one slot,
which does the same job
Everything else - the pattern rules, the zone drawing, the summary panel, the alerts and the
non-repainting behaviour - is identical to the MetaTrader 5 version.
Important Notes
- Because the labels sit to the right of the last candle, the indicator switches the chart's "Shift end of the chart" option on so that space exists. This is a chart setting, so it stays on after the indicator is removed - turn it off in the chart toolbar if you prefer the old view
- Push notifications require your MetaQuotes ID in MT4 (Tools -> Options -> Notifications); email alerts require SMTP settings
- Alerts work while the terminal is running
