Matsukaze Prop Shield is a drawdown protection and analytics utility built for prop firm traders. Whether you are in an FTMO Challenge, managing a funded account, or running any prop firm evaluation, this tool monitors your account in real time, protects you from breaching daily and total drawdown limits, and gives you a full analytics suite to review your trading performance — all inside a single panel on your chart.

Designed and verified on a live FTMO Challenge account ($50,000 2-Step). All drawdown values, remaining amounts, and statistics matched the FTMO dashboard exactly. Works with any prop firm funded account or personal trading account.

What This Tool Does

Prop Shield runs alongside your trading (manual or EA) and watches your account equity. If drawdown approaches your limit, the traffic light turns yellow, then red. If the limit is breached, all positions are closed automatically and new trades are blocked for a configurable cooldown period.

Beyond protection, Prop Shield includes a full analytics dashboard and calendar heatmap that are normally only available on your prop firm website. Now you can see everything directly on your MT4/MT5 chart without switching tabs.

How to Use

1. Attach Prop Shield to any chart (it monitors the entire account, not just one symbol)

2. Select FTMO preset or Custom in the settings

3. Set your Initial Balance (default: 10000 — match your funded account or challenge size)

4. Click OK — the Shield tab appears immediately with live drawdown monitoring

5. Click the Stats tab to see your analytics dashboard

6. Click the Calendar tab to see your daily P&L heatmap

7. Keep the EA running at all times for accurate daily drawdown tracking

Notifications

When drawdown is breached or profit target is reached, Prop Shield can notify you via:

- Alert popup on screen

- Push notification to your phone

- Email notification

All three can be enabled or disabled independently.

Magic Numbers: filter by specific EA magic numbers (comma separated, leave empty for all)

Max Open Positions: limit the number of simultaneous positions

Important Notes

- Prop Shield does not place any trades. It is a drawdown limiter and equity protection utility only. It works with any EA, manual trading, or copy trading on your prop firm challenge or funded account.

- For accurate daily drawdown tracking, keep the EA running continuously. If restarted mid-day, the daily start balance resets to the current balance at the time of restart.

- The equity curve and analytics are based on closed trade history available in the terminal. Make sure your history tab shows the relevant period.

- Tested and verified on FTMO. For other prop firms, use Custom mode and set your own parameters.
