Goldium EA
Goldium EA is a gold-native automated trading system for XAUUSD built on Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and a Q-Learning Reinforcement Learning engine. It runs entirely in pure MQL5 with no DLL dependencies. Every component is calibrated specifically for gold price behavior including wider swing lookbacks, extended Order Block validity, Kill Zone session filters, Asian Range liquidity detection, and DXY-based USD strength filtering.
No grid, no martingale, no averaging. Every trade uses a fixed stop loss with ATR-based calculation.
Backtest results are not representative for this EA. Goldium EA uses a real-time adaptive RL engine that learns from live gold market conditions including spreads, liquidity spikes, and Kill Zone dynamics. The Strategy Tester cannot simulate these variables. Please test on a demo account with live market data for proper evaluation.
Core Logic
The EA performs continuous top-down analysis on XAUUSD: H4 macro trend direction, H1 market structure detection (BOS/CHoCH), M15 institutional POI zones (Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, Breaker Blocks, Liquidity Pools), M5 momentum confirmation, and entry pattern matching. Gold-specific adjustments include wider swing lookback (80 bars default), extended OB validity (120 bars), and looser FVG mitigation thresholds to account for gold's tendency to form larger structures. The DXY USD Strength Filter monitors dollar strength and blocks or confirms trades based on USD momentum. When all layers align, the Q-Learning engine evaluates 14 features and applies its learned score modifier before executing.
Q-Learning Reinforcement Learning Engine
The RL engine extracts 14 features from every signal and maintains a persistent Q-Table tracking win/loss outcomes for each unique market state. Over time the engine adjusts score modifiers from -4 to +4 and adapts position sizing between 0.5x and 2.0x based on proven performance. The Q-Table is saved to CSV and survives restarts and VPS migrations.
DXY USD Strength Filter
Goldium EA monitors USD strength across major dollar pairs using ATR-normalized calculations over a configurable lookback period. When USD is strong, the filter confirms short gold signals and blocks long entries. When USD is weak, it supports long gold trades. A configurable score bonus (default +2) is added for DXY alignment, and counter-DXY signals are penalized or blocked.
Gold Session and Kill Zone Management
The EA includes a gold-specific session filter with three modes: London-NY (default, covering the most liquid gold trading hours), All Sessions, and London Only. A Kill Zone scoring system adds bonus points when signals occur during peak institutional activity periods and penalizes late-session entries. Friday close protection stops new trade entries before the weekend. An optional volatility regime detector pauses trading during extreme ATR spikes.
Asian Range Liquidity Detection
The EA tracks the Asian session price range (configurable start/end hours) and identifies liquidity pools that form at Asian range highs and lows. These levels serve as additional confluence points for trade entries during the London and NY sessions, as institutional players frequently target Asian range liquidity.
7 Trading Modes
Goldium EA includes 7 pre-configured modes. Fortress uses M15 entries with the strictest filters. Standard uses M5 entries and is the recommended starting point. Blitz uses M1 for higher-frequency gold scalping. IntraSwing uses M30 for intraday swings. SwingMaster uses H1 for daily-level trades. MacroTrend uses H4 for position trading. Custom mode allows full manual control.
Trade Management
The EA uses a multi-target take-profit system with TP1, TP2, and TP3 partial close levels. Gold default splits are 30/35/35 to capture extended gold trends. After TP1, the stop loss moves to break-even and an ATR-dynamic trailing stop activates. Gold-specific parameters include wider trailing steps (8 pips default), wider break-even buffer (3 pips), and higher slippage tolerance (20 points). A loss cooldown system pauses trading after consecutive losses.
Newsium EA Integration
Goldium EA can receive real-time economic data from Newsium EA, the news analysis engine in the ium Trading Series. Newsium provides a gold-specific bias model combining USD inverse correlation, inflation expectations, interest rate sentiment, and risk-on/off scoring. It blocks trades before high-impact events, reduces lot size when events approach, and adjusts stop loss width based on news alignment. If Newsium is not running, Goldium EA continues trading normally.
Paper Trading and Auto-Promotion
The EA can start in paper trading mode where trades are tracked but not executed. When XAUUSD demonstrates a configurable minimum win rate, it is automatically promoted to live trading. The RL engine learns from both paper and live trades.
Part of the ium Trading Series
Goldium EA is the gold member of the ium Trading Series. Four specialized EAs share the same SMC and RL architecture, each designed for a different asset class:
Stratum EA - Multi-symbol forex with OCM Currency Strength Filter across 20 pairs. Goldium EA (Gold) - You are here. Indexium EA - NAS100, US30, SPX500, DAX40, UK100 with VWAP confluence, Gap Fill entries, and Opening Range Breakout. Satoshium EA - BTCUSD with 24/7 session management, Weekend Protection, and BTC volatility calibration. Newsium EA - Economic calendar analysis engine providing real-time news scores to all ium EAs via Global Variables.
Configuration
Goldium EA provides input parameters organized in logical groups: trading mode and confluence threshold, multi-timeframe chain (H4/H1/M15/M5/Entry), trend indicators (EMA, ADX), gold-calibrated structure detection (swing lookback, OB validity, FVG sizing, CHoCH bonus), momentum indicators (RSI, Stochastic, volume, MACD divergence), entry patterns (Pin Bar, Engulfing, Break and Retest), risk management (risk percent, R:R ratio, SL buffer), trade execution (TP levels, break-even, ATR trailing), gold session filter and Kill Zone scoring, Asian Range liquidity settings, DXY USD Strength Filter, news protection and Newsium integration, volatility regime detection, Friday protection, RL engine parameters, WR Boosters, alert settings, and dashboard visual options.
