Answer GoldEdge is a fully automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for XAUUSD on MetaTrader 5, operating on the M2 (2-minute) timeframe.
Rather than requiring the trader to manually identify entries, manage positions or make decisions during a trade, GoldEdge handles the complete process automatically.
The trader selects the LotSize.

WHY ANSWER GOLDEDGE?
GoldEdge was developed as a dedicated XAUUSD trading system, rather than a general-purpose EA designed to trade multiple unrelated markets.
Its proprietary trading logic combines market-condition filtering, predefined risk controls and structured trade management to determine when its internal conditions qualify for execution.
When a qualifying setup is identified, GoldEdge:

Once correctly installed, GoldEdge independently monitors XAUUSD for qualifying conditions and manages its own execution.
THREE-TARGET TRADE MANAGEMENT
GoldEdge uses a structured three-target trade-management approach.
When a qualifying setup occurs, the total selected LotSize is divided across a three-position basket, allowing different stages of the trade to be managed independently.
Only one GoldEdge basket is permitted at a time.
The exact entry criteria, market-condition filters, target calculations, protective logic and internal management rules are proprietary components of Answer GoldEdge and are not exposed as customer-configurable parameters.

For correct operation:
▪ Attach Answer GoldEdge to an M2 chart
▪ Enable Algo Trading
▪ Maintain a stable terminal/internet connection
▪ Ensure sufficient available margin
▪ Use a LotSize compatible with your broker’s volume specifications
M2 is the required operational timeframe. Other chart timeframes are not supported for operation.
Trading conditions can vary between brokers due to differences in spreads, pricing, execution, liquidity and symbol specifications.
A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
LOT SIZE & RISK MANAGEMENT
The GoldEdge LotSize represents the TOTAL trading volume of the three-position basket — not the volume of each individual position.
For a broker with a minimum volume and volume step of 0.01, examples of compatible total LotSizes include:
0.03 → 0.01 + 0.01 + 0.01
0.06 → 0.02 + 0.02 + 0.02
0.09 → 0.03 + 0.03 + 0.03
0.12 → 0.04 + 0.04 + 0.04
A total LotSize of 0.02, for example, cannot create three positions of at least 0.01 each and therefore would not be suitable under those broker specifications.
Broker volume requirements vary.
Increasing LotSize increases both potential gains and potential losses. Reducing LotSize reduces exposure.
No LotSize eliminates trading risk, and XAUUSD can experience significant volatility.
Users remain responsible for selecting an appropriate level of exposure for their account.
INSTALLATION
Getting started with Answer GoldEdge is straightforward:
1. Install Answer GoldEdge through MetaTrader 5
2. Open your broker’s XAUUSD/Gold chart
3. Select the M2 timeframe
4. Attach Answer GoldEdge
5. Select a compatible LotSize
6. Enable Algo Trading
7. Allow GoldEdge to manage execution automatically
Keep MetaTrader 5 connected while the EA is operating.
A VPS is recommended for users who want continuous operation without keeping their personal computer running.
After a terminal or VPS restart, ensure MetaTrader 5 has reconnected correctly and that the EA and Algo Trading are active.
