Alpha Buy Sell Signal KPG - User Guide (MT5)
Alpha Buy Sell Signal KPG is an indicator designed to support trend-following and momentum analysis for MetaTrader 5. It displays clear buy and sell signals on the chart, combined with a dynamic trend ribbon and a multi-timeframe dashboard to help traders visualize market direction and momentum strength.
The indicator is designed to support decision-making by showing the current trend bias directly on the chart, including a dynamic trend line, a color-coded ribbon, and a power score that reflects the estimated strength of the signal based on current market conditions. The tool also triggers audio alarms, on-screen pop-ups, and smartphone notifications when a new signal appears on a closed bar.
Buy and sell signals appear as colored arrows. Each arrow includes a percentage number (Power Score) that reflects the estimated signal strength. Arrow and text distances adjust automatically to each symbol and timeframe, so manual adjustment is not required when switching markets.
Signal types:
- Blue arrow below the candle with the text BUY xx% indicates a potential buy signal.
- Red arrow above the candle with the text SELL xx% indicates a potential sell signal.
The indicator applies several filters to improve signal quality:
- A higher timeframe trend filter is applied to align signals with the broader market direction.
- The Power Score is calculated using momentum strength, trend slope, and distance to the higher timeframe trend line.
- The Multi-Timeframe (MTF) panel provides a visual summary of the trend direction across multiple timeframes simultaneously.
Suggested usage:
- For a clearer view of the main structure and trend direction, the indicator can be used on H1 or H4.
- When the higher timeframe trend aligns with the current timeframe, matching signals on M5 or M15 may be used as entry cues.
- Entries may be considered when the accuracy percentage (Power Score) is above 60-65% and the signal aligns with the higher timeframe structure and the MTF panel consensus.
- Stop loss and take profit should be set manually. Alerts indicate the moment a signal appears, not a guaranteed trade outcome.
- A possible stop loss level could be placed below a buy signal candle or above a sell signal candle, or beyond the dynamic trend line.
- A risk-to-reward ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 can be considered.
- Trading against the major trend shown on the MTF panel is not recommended. Noisy and very short timeframes should be avoided.
- The indicator is a decision-support tool, not an automated trading system, and should be combined with the user's own analysis.
Alert and notification:
- Comprehensive alerting options including sound, visual pop-ups, and mobile push messages are fully supported.
- Push notifications are sent to the MetaTrader 5 mobile app when the terminal is connected and the MetaQuotes ID is configured.
- Each signal triggers an alert only once, on bar close, to avoid repeated messages during history loading (non-repainting signals).
Input parameters (examples):
- Multiplier & Period: Settings for the dynamic trend line and volatility adjustments.
- Trend Filter: Enable or disable the higher timeframe filter, select the timeframe, MA period, and MA method (EMA/SMA).
- Multi-Timeframe Panel: Choose which timeframes to display on the dashboard, adjust panel position, cell size, and refresh rate.
- Power Score: Show or hide the percentage labels, adjust font size, and manage the number of bars to keep the labels.
- Colors & Styles: Customize trend line colors, ribbon colors, buy/sell arrow colors, and label text colors.
- Alerts: Enable or disable audio, visual, and smartphone notifications, with specific toggles for M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, and D1.
