OmniTrend MultiSymbol FilteredSignal is an Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5 that offers two operating modes: fully automated and semi-automated (controlled via on-screen buttons).
In automated mode, the EA independently analyzes the market, identifies trading signals, and executes trades when specific conditions are met. In semi-automated mode, the trader can manually select the trading direction using buttons on the chart, toggle operating modes, and halt trading, all while maintaining control over the EA’s actions.
The trading system is based on a sequential confirmation process using the Stochastic, MACD, and RSI indicators. The EA also includes risk management tools, protection against unfavorable market conditions, and profit-management mechanisms.
Key Features
Two trading modes: automated and semi-automated.
On-chart control: screen-based buttons for switching modes and managing trades.
Multi-instrument support: compatible with EURUSD, USDJPY, XAUUSD, and BTCUSD.
Indicator combination: Stochastic + MACD + RSI filter.
Customizable settings: individual trading parameters can be configured for each instrument.
Risk control: loss limitation and trading account protection.
Profit management: a "ProfitLock" mechanism to secure realized financial gains.
Entry condition filtering: monitoring of spreads and position sizes.
1. Trading Strategy: Stochastic + MACD + RSI
The EA employs a sequential signal-generation system, in which each indicator serves a specific purpose.
Stochastic — Primary Signal.
The Stochastic indicator is used to identify the initial trading signal (buy or sell). A crossover within this indicator acts as the starting point for further validation of entry conditions.
MACD — Directional Confirmation.
Once the primary signal appears, the EA checks the MACD by comparing the main line against the signal line. This allows for an additional assessment of the market's direction before opening a trade.
RSI — an additional filter.
The RSI indicator is used to further verify trading conditions. The system supports the use of M5, M15, and H1 timeframes.
Using three indicators in combination allows for trading decisions to be based on a sequence of conditions rather than a single metric.
2. Working with multiple instruments
OmniTrend MultiSymbol FilteredSignal is designed for trading four instruments:
EURUSD
USDJPY
XAUUSD
BTCUSD
Each instrument has its own individual settings, allowing the Expert Advisor (EA) to be tailored to the specific characteristics of different currency pairs, gold, and the cryptocurrency market.
To trade different instruments independently, the EA should be launched on the corresponding charts in MetaTrader 5. The settings and trading logic for each instance will then apply specifically to the chosen instrument.
3. Automatic and semi-automatic modes
The EA offers the trader a choice between fully automated operation and manual control via on-screen buttons.
Automatic mode — AUTO
The EA automatically monitors for trading signals and opens positions whenever the strategy's required conditions are met.
Semi-automatic mode — BUY / SELL
Traders can use the on-screen BUY and SELL buttons to select the direction of a trade, allowing for direct control over the EA’s trading direction right from the chart.
Stopping trades — STOP
The STOP button is designed to halt all further trading activity by the EA.
Resetting the stop — RESET STOP
The RESET STOP button is provided to clear the stop status whenever necessary.
On-screen controls allow you to interact with the EA without needing to open the settings menu and manually adjust parameters every time.
4. Take Profit management
A Take Profit (TP) setting is available for trading positions, allowing you to define a target level for locking in profits. The TP (Take Profit) value allows you to set a target for a trade, in accordance with your chosen trading parameters.
5. ProfitLock Mechanism
The ProfitLock mechanism is designed to secure a portion of the potential profit on an open position.
This mechanism activates once the price has covered 50% of the distance from the entry point to the established Take Profit level.
The Expert Advisor offers several ProfitLock options: 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%.
This mechanism enables additional profit-management logic as the price moves toward the target level.
6. Loss Control and Capital Protection
The Expert Advisor includes risk-control tools that operate at both the individual instrument level and the trading account level.
Loss Limitation per Instrument
For an individual instrument, you can set a loss limit in monetary terms. This approach allows you to control the acceptable financial outcome for a specific trading position or instrument, within the framework of the Expert Advisor’s logic.
Overall Account Protection
Additionally, there is a mechanism for monitoring total capital, which halts trading if a specified limit is reached.
