Flare Bands EMA

Flare Bands EMA is a MetaTrader 5 indicator that draws a 50-period EMA with a channel of 1.5 ATR on each side. The line is blue while the EMA is rising and red while it is falling, and arrows mark the breakouts from the channel.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁
- The EMA line in blue and red.
- The upper and lower bands as dotted lines.
- BUY and SELL arrows.
- A small timeframe panel for the current symbol. It shows the EMA color on M1, M5, M15, M30 and H1, leaving out the timeframe you are already on. Click a box to switch the chart to that timeframe.
𝗙𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
Each filter has its own on/off switch.
- Breakout candle body (on, 0.5): the breakout candle needs a body of at least 0.5 x ATR, so small closes that only touch the band are ignored.
- Volatility (on, 1.2 over 20 days): arrows are allowed only when the current ATR is at least 1.2 times the average range of the last 20 days. On gold this is the filter that matters most. With it switched off, signals are much more frequent and much weaker.
- Time window (off, 09:00 to 18:00 server time): when on, arrows appear only between the hours you choose. Windows that cross midnight work too.
- Repeated signals (allowed): every valid breakout gets an arrow. Switch it off and the arrows alternate: after a SELL the next arrow can only be a BUY, and after a BUY only a SELL.

Popup, push notification and email, with direction and price. Each arrow sends one alert. Arrows that are already on the chart when you load the indicator do not alert.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁
I use it on XAUUSD M15, the market where I tested the default settings. I exit when a candle closes beyond the opposite band, so below the lower band after a BUY and above the upper band after a SELL. You can see this directly on the bands. I keep a protective stop at 3 x ATR, use no fixed take profit and close before the end of the trading day. The indicator does not place trades or draw stops; position size and risk are up to you.

- EMA period: length of the moving average (50).
- Band width: distance of the bands in ATR (1.5).
- ATR period: Wilder ATR used for the bands and filters (14).
- Use candle body filter / Minimum candle body: switch and size in ATR (on, 0.5).
- Use volatility filter / Minimum ATR / Days for the average true range: switch, threshold and period (on, 1.2, 20).
- Use time filter / Signals start / Signals end: switch and server hours (off, 09:00, 18:00).
- Allow more signals on the same side: on by default.
- Show timeframe panel / Panel X and Y offset: panel on or off and its position.
- Popup alert, push notification, email.
