Understand Where Price May Search for Liquidity

Liquidity Reaction Map MT5 is a chart-based market analysis indicator that identifies potential buy-side and sell-side liquidity areas from confirmed price structure.

It combines swing points, equal highs and lows, previous daily and weekly levels, session extremes and round prices into an organized liquidity map. Nearby levels can be merged and ranked according to their strength, proximity and source confluence.

The indicator helps traders study where price may approach, sweep, reject or break a liquidity area. It does not open or manage trades.

Liquidity Sources

The map can identify liquidity from:

  • Confirmed swing highs and lows
  • Equal highs and equal lows
  • Previous day high and low
  • Previous week high and low
  • Completed session high and low
  • Psychological round-price levels
  • Multiple configurable timeframes

Buy-side liquidity is displayed above relevant highs, while sell-side liquidity is displayed below relevant lows.

These areas are estimates derived from historical price structure. The indicator does not access broker order books or actual stop-loss positions.

Ranked Liquidity Zones

Detected levels are evaluated using several factors, including:

  • Number of supporting pivots
  • Equal-high or equal-low clustering
  • Multiple source agreement
  • Timeframe importance
  • Distance from current price
  • Level freshness

Nearby sources can be combined into one zone to reduce unnecessary chart clutter. Minimum strength and maximum displayed zones can be configured from the inputs.

Liquidity Sweep Detection

The indicator tracks each zone through its lifecycle:

  • Active
  • Swept
  • Broken

A sweep requires price to penetrate a liquidity level and reclaim it according to the configured confirmation rules. Confirmed historical sweeps can remain visible with optional arrows and zone history.

Sweep evaluation timeframe, minimum penetration, reclaim period and break distance are configurable.

Market Context Dashboard

The draggable dashboard provides a compact summary of the current liquidity map:

  • Nearest buy-side liquidity
  • Nearest sell-side liquidity
  • Distance in points and ATR
  • Zone strength and source
  • Relative liquidity draw
  • Premium, discount or equilibrium position
  • Most recently confirmed sweep
  • Active and historical zone statistics

The panel can be moved anywhere on the chart, minimized and scaled. Long values are automatically fitted inside their rows, while complete information remains available through hover tooltips.

Next Event Context

The Next Event row identifies the liquidity area that currently deserves attention:

  • Watch BSL
  • Watch SSL
  • Wait when opposing liquidity is balanced

This is a display-only interpretation of the existing map. It does not generate a separate buy or sell signal. Traders can wait for a confirmed breakout, rejection or sweep-and-reclaim reaction around the displayed level.

Spread and Zone-Distance Information

The Cost / Space row compares the current spread with the distance to the nearest active liquidity zone.

It displays:

  • OK
  • Elevated
  • High Cost
  • At Zone

This helps identify situations where execution cost is large compared with the available distance to the next mapped area. The warning threshold is configurable and does not modify zones, sweeps or alerts.

Dealing Range Context

The current dealing range is divided into:

  • Premium
  • Equilibrium
  • Discount

The dashboard displays the current percentage position and equilibrium price. This provides additional location context when price approaches a liquidity area.

Alerts and Chart Controls

Available alert conditions include:

  • Approaching a strong active zone
  • Confirmed liquidity sweep

Supported notification methods:

  • Terminal popup
  • Mobile push notification
  • Email
  • Sound

The dashboard provides direct controls for zones, sweep history and alerts, together with manual refresh and minimize buttons.

Integration with Expert Advisors

Eight public indicator buffers are available through iCustom and CopyBuffer :

  • Buffer 0: Nearest BSL price
  • Buffer 1: Nearest SSL price
  • Buffer 2: Nearest BSL strength
  • Buffer 3: Nearest SSL strength
  • Buffer 4: Liquidity draw score
  • Buffer 5: Last sweep side

Optional terminal Global Variables can also publish current map values for external Expert Advisors and analytical tools.

Recommended Use

For stable confirmed readings, keep closed-bar calculation enabled.

When multiple source timeframes are selected, allow MetaTrader 5 to download the required historical data. Use timeframes and levels appropriate for the instrument being analyzed.

The indicator can be combined with market structure, trend analysis or the trader’s existing confirmation rules. A mapped liquidity area should be treated as a location to observe rather than an automatic entry.

Important Information

Liquidity Reaction Map MT5 is an analytical indicator. It does not open, close or manage positions.

Displayed zones represent potential liquidity concentrations inferred from historical price structure. They do not represent confirmed institutional orders or actual broker stop-loss data.

Liquidity areas, sweep events and dashboard readings do not guarantee future price direction or trading results. Always consider market conditions, spread, execution costs and risk before making a trading decision.
