Gold Ants
Nine strategies. One colony working together.
Gold Ants is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 focused on automated gold trading (XAUUSD). It brings together nine strategies, called Ant Workers, each with its own entry and management rules within a single system.
It combines different ways of identifying opportunities: not every strategy relies on breakouts. You can enable workers individually and select a combination that suits your preferences and your broker’s trading conditions.

Strategy Diversification
Gold Ants brings different trading approaches together in one EA. The strategies work collectively, seeking opportunities that may help offset unfavorable periods experienced by other workers.
Brokers can differ in spreads, pricing, and execution. Individual worker selection allows you to evaluate different combinations under those conditions.
Trade Management
The system aims to control losses and capture favorable price movements through strategy-specific exit and management rules.
It does not use martingale to recover losses or a grid of orders to accumulate positions. Trade size depends on the selected capital configuration.
Internal Pending Order System
Gold Ants manages its pending signals internally. While a signal remains internal, it is not yet a pending order submitted to the broker’s server.
If the connection is lost, those internal signals cannot execute new entries during the disconnection. Positions that are already open remain exposed to the market.
Stop Loss and Take Profit levels submitted to and accepted by the broker remain on its server. Dynamic trailing and other internal functions require the EA to remain running and connected.
A Dashboard That Adapts to Your Chart
Monitor balance, equity, drawdown, spread, positions, and Ant Worker results directly from the dashboard.
When you need a clearer view, minimize the dashboard into a movable ant that you can reposition on the chart. Simply click the ant to reopen the dashboard and view the full information again.
Simple Configuration
Visible controls focus on practical choices: selecting workers, choosing a capital profile, and adjusting execution options.
Internal technical strategy parameters are integrated into the system to simplify setup and avoid unnecessary adjustments.
Setup and Requirements
• Platform: MetaTrader 5.
• Primary instrument: gold, XAUUSD.
• Recommended capital: 500 USD.
• Chart timeframe: any.
• Stable connection and algorithmic trading enabled.
• A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
Starting capital is at the user’s discretion, based on their chosen risk level and their broker’s margin requirements. Using less than the recommended capital may limit trading activity and increase risk.
Capital requirements also depend on leverage, broker specifications, and the selected worker combination. Higher-risk profiles may increase trade volume and exposure.
Gold Ants is not restricted to a specific calendar year. It includes a configurable year-end and New Year pause, set to seven days on each side of the year change by default. Setting it to zero disables this pause.
Usage Recommendations
Test your configuration on a demo account with your broker first. Evaluate the workers and capital profile before using the system on a live account.
Backtests should be interpreted as historical simulations, not live trading results. Results may vary depending on the data and execution conditions.
