Launch Pad
London and New York opening breakouts, confirmed by a retest
The first hour of the London and New York sessions often sets the tone for the day. Price builds a range, breaks out of it, and many breakouts come back to test the edge before moving on. Others turn out to be false and fade straight back into the range.
Launch Pad waits for both steps: the breakout and the retest. It doesn’t jump at the first candle that pokes out of the range. It waits until price has broken out, come back to the edge, and pushed away again in the breakout direction.
Key features
✅ Two sessions: London and New York, each can be switched on or off
✅ Automatic daylight saving time: sessions are always placed at the correct local exchange time, all year round
✅ Broker time detected automatically: works with any broker’s server clock, and stays correct after a platform restart. You can also set the offset by hand.
✅ Size filter: pads that are too narrow (no real range) or too wide (move already done) compared with the daily range are skipped
✅ No repainting: closed candles only. A signal that appears stays where it is, and history shows exactly what you would have seen live.
✅ Blue BUY and red SELL arrows with a “LAUNCH!” tag and a flame trail
✅ Ready-made trade levels in every alert: entry, stop loss and take profit
• Stop loss: middle of the pad, or beyond the retest candle
• Take profit: a risk-to-reward ratio (2:1 by default), or the pad height projected from the edge
✅ Optional SL/TP lines on the chart (off by default to keep the chart clean)
✅ Alerts: popup, sound and push notifications to your phone, plus an optional early heads-up at lift-off
The dashboard
A compact panel shows everything at a glance:
🟧 Launch sequence lights: PAD → LIFT-OFF → LAUNCH, lighting up as each stage completes
🟧 Current pad: session, high/low, height in pips and its size as a % of the daily range
🟧 Countdown to the next session’s pad
🟧 Live status: PAD FORMING, ON THE PAD, LIFT-OFF UP/DOWN, LAUNCH! BUY/SELL, PAD SKIPPED or NO LAUNCH
🟧 Last signal tracker: how many bars ago, and how many pips it’s up or down now
🟧 History: how many pads, lift-offs and launches appear on your chart
🟧 Spread monitor and candle countdown timer
Settings you can adjust
Session times and pad length (default 60 minutes)
How long after the pad a launch is allowed (default 4 hours)
How far a close must be outside the pad to count as a breakout
How many candles the retest may take, and how close it must come to the edge
How deep a pullback aborts the lift-off
Minimum and maximum pad size vs the daily range
Stop loss and take profit style, colours, panel position, alerts
