FJ UNIVERSE YIELD MACHINE (YILM) - Multi-Instance Recovery Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 (Wealth Index Slot Isolation)
FJ Universe Yield Machine, short name YILM, is a multi-instance recovery Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that sizes every recovery order from its own positions, never from your account balance. That one design decision is what allows you to run several copies on a single MT5 account, on several symbols, in both directions, without any one of them inflating the risk of the others. It is the multi-instance edition of the engine behind the FJ Universe M Printer, rebuilt so that a dedicated account is no longer required. Designed for the major currency pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD and USDCHF.
IMPORTANT RISK NOTICE - PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY: Yield Machine is a recovery and averaging system. It adds to positions that move against it and holds floating drawdown by design. An extended one-directional move can produce a deep and prolonged drawdown, and a configuration sized too large for the account can reach a margin stop. Slot isolation limits how instances affect each other. It does not limit market risk. Past results and backtests do not guarantee or indicate future results. Always run a full real-tick backtest, always forward-test on demo first, and never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
What Problem Does Yield Machine Solve?
Yield Machine solves the problem that recovery Expert Advisors cannot normally share an account. Almost every recovery, grid or averaging robot on MetaTrader 5 measures its own trouble the same way: it compares account Balance with account Equity and treats the gap as the hole it needs to climb out of. That works beautifully when the robot is alone on the account. It fails the moment a second robot joins.
Two recovery Expert Advisors reading the same account-wide drawdown will both scale up at the same moment, doubling the leverage that only one of them created. The first robot opens a losing position and account Equity drops. The second robot, perfectly healthy and having done nothing wrong, reads that same drop and concludes it must also increase its next order. Neither is broken. They share a measurement that was never meant to be shared.
The usual advice on forums is to give each Expert Advisor a different magic number. That is correct and also incomplete: a unique magic number stops two robots closing each other's trades, but does nothing to stop them reading each other's drawdown. Yield Machine removes the shared measurement entirely.
What Is the Wealth Index?
The Wealth Index is the floating profit and loss of a single slot, and a slot is the combination of one symbol, one magic number and one direction. Everything else in this Expert Advisor follows from that.
Every instance keeps its own private book, containing only the positions carrying its symbol, its magic number and its direction: floating profit, swap and entry commission, and nothing else. Recovery sizing, the profit reset, the Margin Manager and the on-chart dashboard all read that one book. Your account Balance and Equity are never consulted for sizing, and another Expert Advisor's open drawdown is invisible because it belongs to a different slot.
The benefit shows up most clearly when one instance trades both directions. The long book sizes itself from the long book's floating loss and the short book from the short book's. Neither inherits the other's position, so a hedged pair can no longer count one loss twice and answer it with two oversized orders. Give each instance a unique magic number and the books never touch.
How Is This Different From FJ Universe M Printer?
Yield Machine is the multi-instance edition of the engine that powers FJ Universe M Printer, rebuilt so that a dedicated account is no longer required. M Printer remains on my profile for the traders it suits. Its description carries an honest warning I wrote myself: it monitors the whole account's Balance and Equity on every tick, so it needs an account of its own. No other Expert Advisor, no manual trades, no copier. That is the exact limitation Yield Machine was built to remove.
| Capability | FJ Universe M Printer | FJ Universe Yield Machine |
|---|---|---|
| Recovery sizing reads | Account Balance minus Equity | Floating P&L of its own slot |
| Dedicated account required | Yes, mandatory | No |
| Instances per account | One | As many as your capital supports |
| Long and short together | Shares one account-wide measurement | Long book and short book sized separately |
| Margin control | Account-wide | Selectable: this EA only, or account-wide |
| Manual trades on the account | Interfere with sizing | Ignored completely |
| Other robots on the account | Interfere with sizing | Ignored completely |
| Scheduled profit-taking | Not included | Daily, by weekday, or last day of month |
| On-chart panel | Standard | Full dashboard showing the live slot book |
If you already own M Printer and have been running it on an isolated account because the description told you to, Yield Machine is the version that lets you bring that strategy back into your main portfolio.
How Does the Strategy Actually Work?
Yield Machine opens a position, and if price moves against it by a configurable percentage step, it adds another position at the better price. The whole set shares one basket take profit calculated from the weighted average entry. When price reaches that target, the entire basket closes together and a fresh cycle begins.
That is familiar territory: it is a recovery ladder, and I want you to understand it as one from the first minute, because an honest picture of the mechanism is what lets you size it responsibly. What is not familiar is where the size of each new order comes from. Each recovery order is sized from the Wealth Index of its own slot. The Expert Advisor asks a narrow question: how much is this symbol, in this direction, under this magic number, currently carrying?
A profit reset measures the same book: when the slot's own floating result reaches your target, the cycle banks and restarts flat. You can run it long only, short only, or both directions at once. Both at once is where the design earns its keep.
Who Is This Expert Advisor For?
Yield Machine is for traders who want to run more than one automated strategy on one MetaTrader 5 account and want each one to measure its own risk honestly.
- You run, or want to run, a portfolio of Expert Advisors on a single login and you want each to size itself independently
- You want the same strategy on several major currency pairs at the same time, each with its own book
- You want long and short running together on one symbol without the two sides distorting each other
- You already trade manually and want an automated strategy that ignores your manual positions completely
- You have outgrown single-robot, single-account setups and want per-instance margin control
- You understand recovery systems and want one built with instance isolation from the ground up
Who Is This Expert Advisor NOT For?
Yield Machine is not for traders who are uncomfortable holding open drawdown while a cycle works toward its target. Please read this carefully, because I would much rather you decide against the purchase now than be surprised later.
- This is a recovery system. It adds to positions moving against it. That is the mechanism, not a malfunction
- It holds floating drawdown by design, sometimes for an extended period, before a cycle completes
- It is not a fixed stop-loss scalper and it will not behave like one
- If you cannot sleep while a position is open and negative, this will not suit your temperament, which matters more than backtests
- If you intend to run it on an account you cannot afford to lose, please do not run it at all
- It is not a set-and-forget product. It rewards understanding and punishes carelessness
I would rather have your trust than your money. If the list above describes you, my FJ Universe DCA Investor or FJ Universe RSI MACDON on the same profile may suit you far better.
Which Markets and Timeframes Does It Suit?
Yield Machine is designed for the major currency pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD and USDCHF. The majors are the right home for three practical reasons. Spreads are tight, so each ladder step costs little. Liquidity is deep, so testing fills resemble live fills. And the majors mean-revert often enough that a recovery basket has realistic opportunities to reach its target. The live FJUNIVERSE signals from the same engine family run on AUDUSD, NZDUSD and EURUSD, so those three are the pairs I know best.
Timeframes: M10 through H1 covers the intended range. Lower timeframes give more cycles and more spread sensitivity; higher timeframes give fewer, larger cycles. Test on your own broker, because spread and swap differ meaningfully between brokers on the same pair. Other instruments are possible; test thoroughly and watch swap on anything held for days.
Key Features
- Slot-Isolated Recovery Sizing - every recovery order is sized from the floating book of its own symbol, magic number and direction. No account-wide figure enters the calculation
- Separate Long and Short Books - with the direction filter open, each side is sized independently from its own floating position
- Per-Instance Margin Manager - acts when this instance's positions consume your margin threshold. Scope is selectable: this EA only, or the whole account. Losing positions are never force-closed
- Scheduled Profit-Taking - close this instance's profitable positions at a chosen broker time, on chosen weekdays, or on the last day of the month. Driven by a timer as well as by ticks, so it fires reliably even on instruments that go quiet before the close
- Lot Splitter - orders exceeding the broker maximum volume are split into compliant parts, and every volume is snapped to the symbol's volume step so none is rejected for an invalid size
- Equity Guards - optional account-level close-and-stop levels above and below current equity, for a hard outer boundary independent of the strategy
- Last Cycle Mode - finish the current cycle, then stop opening new ones: how you retire an instance gracefully instead of pulling it off the chart mid-basket
- Full On-Chart Dashboard - a live panel showing the slot book, the current cycle, margin usage and the next decision points
- Discord and Telegram Reporting - optional, through your own webhook and bot token, so your notifications stay yours
- Broker Fill-Policy Auto-Detect - FOK, IOC or RETURN selected automatically
- State Restoration - the slot is rebuilt after a terminal restart, so a reboot or VPS migration does not orphan an open cycle
How Do I Install and Configure It?
- Purchase and activate the product, then open MetaTrader 5
- Open the Navigator panel and find FJ Universe Yield Machine under Expert Advisors
- Open a chart of your chosen major currency pair on your chosen timeframe
- Drag the Expert Advisor onto the chart
- On the Common tab, tick Allow Algo Trading
- On the Inputs tab, set your parameters, starting with the Strategy group
- Confirm the Algo Trading button is green and the smiley face appears top right of the chart
- Watch the Experts journal for the initialisation report. It confirms the symbol, the magic number and the slot the instance has claimed
For a second instance on the same account, repeat every step on a second chart and change one thing: give it a different magic number. That is the only requirement for isolation, even on the same pair.
What Do the Inputs Do?
YIELD MACHINE - STRATEGY SETTINGS
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| YILM_TP_PERC | 0.2 | The take profit target for a cycle, expressed as a percentage. |
| YILM_SL_PERC | 2 | The protective stop level, expressed as a percentage. |
| useSecurityStopLoss | false | Whether the protective stop above is active. |
| percentDistance | 0.1 | How far price must move against the book before another order is added, as a percentage. Wider means a slower, shallower ladder. |
| costOfSingleOrder | 0.01 | The size of the first order in a cycle. |
| costFormat | LOT | The unit for the first order: LOT, CURRENCY_AMOUNT, PERCENT_OF_BALANCE or PERCENT_OF_EQUITY. |
| maxOpenTradesPerDirection | 0 | Ceiling on orders per direction. Zero means no ceiling. |
| openOnly | NO_FILTER | Direction: NO_FILTER (both), LONG_ONLY or SHORT_ONLY. |
| executeOn | ON_CANDLE_CLOSE | Whether decisions are evaluated on every tick or on candle close. |
Begin with percentDistance and costOfSingleOrder. Together they decide how deep a ladder can go before it consumes serious capital. A wider step and a smaller first order are both conservative, and both cost you cycle frequency. That trade is the central decision here, and it is yours to make, not mine.
POSITION SIZING PER SLOT (THE WEALTH INDEX)
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| useAutoLotRecoveryByFJU | FROM_UNREALIZED_PNL_BY_SLOT | The sizing mode. The default is the Wealth Index mode this product was built for. FROM_EQUITY_BALANCE_DRAWDOWN reproduces the older account-wide M Printer behaviour for anyone who wants it. |
| additionalPercentageToRecovery | 1 | An additional margin of safety applied to recovery sizing. |
| includeSwapInWealthIndex | true | Whether accrued swap counts toward the slot book. |
| includeCommissionInWealthIndex | true | Whether entry commission counts toward the slot book. |
| maxRecoveryLot | 0.0 | Hard ceiling on any single recovery order. Zero uses the broker maximum. Please set this deliberately before you go live. |
| recoveryRangeForPastTrades | 100 | History depth, used only by the alternative sizing modes. |
| MaxLotSize | 0.0 | Lot Splitter threshold. Zero reads the symbol's own maximum volume. |
The alternative sizing modes exist for compatibility and for traders migrating from other FJUNIVERSE products. If you are running more than one instance, leave the default alone. Setting maxRecoveryLot thoughtfully is one of the simplest and most effective risk decisions available to you.
SLOT RESET - EQUITY MANAGER PER DIRECTION
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| useEquityManagerForAutoLotRecovery | true | Enables the profit reset that banks a cycle and starts fresh. |
| MMMReduceBalancePerc | 100.0 | The balance reference used for the reset target. |
| MMMReduceTPPerc | 50.0 | The share of the take profit target at which the reset triggers. |
| equityManagerClosesBothDirections | false | Whether a reset closes only its own direction or both. |
At the defaults the reset behaves exactly as the original engine did, so results stay comparable if you are migrating from M Printer. Lowering MMMReduceTPPerc takes profit earlier and more often; raising it lets a cycle run further toward its full target. Both are legitimate.
MARGIN MANAGER (OVER-LEVERAGE CONTROL)
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| useMarginManager | true | Enables over-leverage control. |
| MMScope | MM_THIS_EA_ONLY | Whose margin is measured: MM_THIS_EA_ONLY (this instance's own tickets, multi-instance safe) or MM_WHOLE_ACCOUNT (the entire login, legacy behaviour). |
| MMThresholdPerc | 10 | The margin share at which the manager becomes active. |
| MMMinProfitPerc | 0.1 | The minimum profit a position must show before it can be closed to relieve margin. |
Leave MMScope on MM_THIS_EA_ONLY when you run several instances. Ten instances should not all react to a margin load that one of them created. The manager never closes a losing position. It relieves margin by banking positions already in profit, above your minimum. It is a valve, not a stop.
MANIPULATION DURING TRADING
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| closeAllTradesOnEquityHigherThen | 0.0 | Close everything and stop once account equity reaches this level. Zero disables. |
| closeAllTradesOnEquityLowerThen | 0.0 | Close everything and stop once account equity falls to this level. Zero disables. |
| lastCycleOfYILM | false | Finish the current cycle, then stop opening new ones. |
These two equity levels are account-wide on purpose. Everything else here is deliberately blind to your account, but a hard outer boundary should see the whole picture. Set the lower one at a level you decided in advance you are not willing to pass, before you switch the Expert Advisor on.
CLOSE PROFITABLE POSITIONS ON TIMING
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| YILM_CloseLastDayOfMonth | false | Take profits on the last trading day of each month. |
| YILM_CloseOnSchedule | true | Enable the weekday schedule below. |
| YILM_CloseMonday ... YILM_CloseSunday | Friday true | Which weekdays the schedule applies to. |
| YILM_CloseTime | 23:58 | The broker server time at which the schedule fires. |
| YILM_CloseMinProfitPerc | 0.01 | The minimum profit a position must show to count as profitable. |
This closes only profitable positions belonging to this instance, identified by symbol and magic number. It does not touch your other robots, your manual trades, or this instance's losing positions. The default flattens profits shortly before the Friday close, which many traders prefer over carrying a book through the weekend gap.
EA GENERAL SETTINGS
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| orderComment | FJUNIVERSE YILM TRADE | The comment written on each order. |
| magicNumber | 260910 | The instance identity. Change this for every additional instance. |
| useFillingPolicy | true | Automatic detection of the broker's permitted filling mode. |
| showDashboard | true | The on-chart panel. |
The magic number is the single most important input when you run more than one copy. Choose a numbering scheme you will still understand in a year, for example one series per pair.
BRANDING AND REPORTING (OPTIONAL)
Optional fields for your own Discord webhooks, your own Telegram bot token and chat identifier, and an optional label if you lead a community. All of it is off by default and stays entirely under your control.
How Do I Backtest Yield Machine Correctly?
Backtest Yield Machine in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester using Every tick based on real ticks, with a date range long enough to include at least one sustained trend against the direction you are testing. This section is longer than most product descriptions because a recovery system tested carelessly will give you a beautiful curve and a false sense of security.
Step by Step
- Open the Strategy Tester with Ctrl and R
- Select FJ Universe Yield Machine from the Expert list
- Choose a major, ideally one your broker prices tightly
- Choose your timeframe, beginning with M10 or M15
- Set Modelling to Every tick based on real ticks. This is not optional for a recovery system: cheaper modes interpolate price between bars, and interpolation systematically hides how deep a ladder actually went
- Set the date range to at least two years, including a period where your pair trended hard for weeks. That period is the test that matters
- Set the initial deposit to the amount you actually intend to fund, not a comfortable round number. A ladder that survives on 100,000 may not survive on 5,000
- Set leverage to the leverage your live account actually has
- Run the first test in Visual mode at reduced speed and watch a few full cycles from first order to basket close
- Read the report, and read the equity curve before you read the profit figure
What to Look At in the Report
- Maximum equity drawdown, in percent and in currency - for a recovery system this decides whether the configuration is survivable. Profit is the reward. Drawdown is the question
- The deepest single ladder in the test - find the cycle that went furthest and ask honestly whether you would have left it running. If not, your step distance or first order size is too aggressive
- Margin level at the worst moment - if the tester approached a margin call, the configuration is not viable at that deposit, whatever the final balance says
- Recovery factor and the shape of the equity curve - a curve that climbs smoothly then falls off a cliff tells you something about tail risk the summary statistics will not
How Do I Backtest Multiple Instances?
The Strategy Tester runs one Expert Advisor at a time, so it cannot directly simulate two instances sharing an account. Here is how to approach it properly.
- Test each intended instance separately, on its own symbol and settings, over the same date range. Note the maximum drawdown of each in account currency, not percent
- Add those currency drawdowns together. Because Yield Machine sizes each slot independently, the sum is a fair worst-case approximation rather than an underestimate. This is exactly the arithmetic that does not work with account-wide sizing, where two instances amplify each other and the combined drawdown exceeds the sum of the parts
- Confirm your intended deposit comfortably exceeds that sum, with a wide margin, not a narrow one
- Run the full portfolio forward on a demo account for several weeks before committing real capital. The tester cannot show real spreads, swap and execution across several instances at once. A demo can
Forward Testing
Please do not skip this. Run your final configuration on a demo account with your intended broker for at least four weeks, ideally through a month-end and a few scheduled news events. Optimisation results are a hypothesis. Forward testing is the experiment. If the forward test disagrees with the backtest, trust the forward test.
Can I Run Several Copies on One Account?
Yes. That is the reason this Expert Advisor exists. Attach each instance to its own chart and give each a unique magic number. That single change separates the books completely. A few practical recommendations:
- Start with one. Run a single instance for a few weeks and learn how it behaves on your broker before adding a second
- Add instances one at a time. Each addition changes the total margin picture even though it does not change any individual instance's sizing
- Keep a written register of magic number, symbol, timeframe, direction and date deployed. In six months, when deciding which instance to retire, you will be glad you did
- Set maxRecoveryLot on every instance. Isolation means each instance sizes honestly from its own book. It does not mean the sum of many honest books cannot become large
- Leave MMScope on MM_THIS_EA_ONLY. Ten instances reacting to one instance's margin load is the exact problem this product eliminates
- Retire with lastCycleOfYILM. Removing a robot mid-basket leaves you holding positions nothing is managing
What Broker Environment Should I Use?
- Account type: hedging is required for long and short together on one symbol. Netting accounts cannot hold both sides
- Spread: the ladder pays the spread on every leg, so a raw or ECN account with commission usually costs less overall than a wide-spread account with none
- Swap: check the swap on your pair and direction before you commit. A cycle running several days pays swap every night
- Leverage: sufficient leverage keeps margin comfortable, but size from your deposit and your ceilings, not from what leverage technically permits
- VPS: recommended. New orders require a running terminal
- Server time: the scheduled closing times are in broker server time. Confirm the offset before relying on them
What Track Record Exists?
The FJUNIVERSE Seller Profile carries live MQL5 signals running the M Printer engine on AUDUSD, NZDUSD and EURUSD, which you are welcome to inspect trade by trade. They are the history of the engine family Yield Machine is built from: a record of what happened, not a forecast of what will.
A dedicated live signal running Yield Machine itself is planned for the same profile, so the multi-instance edition can be inspected on its own terms. I would rather show you a real account than tell you a number.
Risk Disclaimer
Trading leveraged financial instruments carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. FJ Universe Yield Machine is a recovery and averaging system. It adds to positions that move against it, it holds floating drawdown by design, and an extended one-directional move can produce a deep and prolonged drawdown. A configuration sized too large for the account can reach a margin stop. These are properties of the strategy, disclosed plainly so you can decide with full information. Slot isolation limits how instances affect each other. It does not limit market risk, and no feature in this product removes it. Backtest results, optimisation results and past live performance do not guarantee or indicate future results. Your own results will differ according to your broker, spread, swap, commission, execution quality, leverage and settings. No profit is promised, implied or guaranteed anywhere in this description. Please trade only with risk capital you can afford to lose entirely, and consult a qualified and licensed financial professional if you are unsure whether this instrument suits your circumstances. You remain fully responsible for every setting you choose and every trade placed on your account.
Compatibility and Support

A Sincere Thank You
Thank you for reading this far. A description this long asks a great deal of your attention, and the fact that you gave it tells me you are the kind of trader this was built for: someone who wants to understand an instrument before trusting it with capital.
If the slot approach makes sense to you, may I invite you to visit the FJUNIVERSE Seller Profile? You will find the original FJ Universe M Printer this engine grew from, along with FJ Universe DCA DWX Zero, Wealth Engine, DCA Investor, RSI MACDON and Quant Intelligence, plus the live signals where the family can be inspected trade by trade. Test everything in the Strategy Tester, read every input, and deploy only what you genuinely understand.
You keep full control of your account, and you keep the learning. That has always seemed to me the only honest way to sell a trading tool. Whatever you decide, I wish you a calm and disciplined trading journey.
