**TulipUltra — a single-chart portfolio EA with a gold-weighted core and nine risk tiers.**
TulipUltra is a portfolio Expert Advisor. One instance, attached to one chart, manages 48
independently parameterised sub-strategies across 12 instruments and three intraday
timeframes (M15 / M30 / H1). Gold is the anchor instrument of the portfolio.
**Gold-weighted core**
- XAUUSD carries full position size and is never down-scaled by the portfolio's
per-instrument weighting.
- The other eleven instruments — XAGUSD, BTCUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, EURJPY, GBPJPY,
CHFJPY, AUDJPY, AUDUSD, GBPAUD — trade at 50% of the gold weight by default. The
multiplier is an input (0–100%), and every instrument has its own on/off switch.
- Each instrument contributes four sub-strategies. The set was selected offline by
correlation-greedy filtering (to suppress redundant, same-direction exposure) and is
weighted by risk parity, so lower-volatility sub-strategies receive more weight.
- Recommended attachment: a gold chart, H1. Because the EA manages several instruments
from one chart, that chart must keep receiving ticks — do not let the terminal sleep.
**Nine risk tiers**
A single input, InpRiskLevel, selects the tier — from L1 (most conservative) to L9 (full
portfolio). A tier controls how much of the portfolio is allowed to trade: lower tiers
enable only the highest-ranked sub-strategies, while the remainder are disabled or run at
half weight. Factory default is L1.
- L1 Micro — 16 active sub-strategies — 0.30% risk per trade — 10% max total exposure
- L2 Low — 24 — 0.50% — 15%
- L3 Gentle — 31 — 0.75% — 22%
- L4 Steady — 38 — 1.00% — 30%
- L5 Balanced — 43 — 1.50% — 42%
- L6 Firm — 46 — 2.00% — 55%
- L7 High — 48 — 2.75% — 70%
- L8 Aggressive — 48 — 3.50% — 85%
- L9 Centurion — 48 — 4.50% — 100%
If you are unsure, start at L1. Raising the tier increases both position sizing and the
number of sub-strategies that may hold a position, so the two effects compound.
**Signal engine**
27 strategy variants built from 13 families — trend (EMA cross, MACD, Donchian, ADX/DI,
SuperTrend, moving-average slope), mean reversion (RSI, Bollinger Bands, Keltner, Stochastic,
CCI, Z-score, VWAP), breakout (range/Donchian break, volatility break, Bollinger walk,
pin bar, engulfing) and momentum (ROC). Every indicator is computed inside the EA by its
own library — there are no external indicators to install and no extra files to copy.
**Risk management (always active)**
- Fixed-fractional position sizing: volume is derived from the stop distance and the
instrument's tick value read live from the terminal (SYMBOL_TRADE_TICK_VALUE /
SYMBOL_TRADE_TICK_SIZE). No broker contract specification is hard-coded.
- Portfolio-wide cap on total exposure.
- Maximum of 4 concurrent positions per instrument.
- A sub-strategy can never open a duplicate position in the same instrument.
- Cost filter: a setup is skipped when the ATR-to-spread ratio drops below the configured
floor, and position size is scaled between that floor and the full-size threshold.
- Configurable no-trade window (default 17:00–22:00 server time) avoids the thinnest part
of the day; weekend position size is reduced for crypto.
- Pre-trade validation on every order: stop-level distance, free margin via
OrderCalcMargin(), volume min/max/step and the per-instrument volume limit.
- No martingale, no grid, no lot doubling after losses. Every position is sized from
account equity and the strategy's own stop distance only.
**Compatibility**
- Account type: any — cent accounts and standard accounts both work; all sizing is done in
the account currency.
- Symbol naming: any — on startup the EA resolves its internal symbol names to whatever
your broker actually uses (XAUUSD, XAUUSDm, XAUUSDc, XAUUSD.c, …). Symbols your broker
does not offer are simply disabled and reported in the log.
- Broker: any. A contract-specification check runs at startup and warns on deviations.
- No DLL calls, no #import, no external files, no network access.
- No trial period, no expiry date, no account or version locks.
**Installation**
1. Copy TulipUltra.ex5 into MQL5/Experts/.
2. Attach it to a gold chart (any timeframe, H1 recommended) and enable AutoTrading.
3. Select a risk tier. Start with a low tier and verify the results on a demo account.
4. On startup the EA prints which symbols it resolved, how many sub-strategies are active
and whether the contract specifications match. Review that log before going live.
**Multi-symbol backtesting**
A single instance of the EA trades all 12 instruments. The MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester
supports this multi-symbol mode, and the EA was developed and validated that way: one
instance trading the complete instrument set across the test period. As with any backtest,
these figures are simulations, and live or demo results will differ.
**Risk warning**
Trading leveraged financial instruments carries a high risk of loss and is not suitable for
every investor. Any historical or backtested result shown for this product is a simulation
based on past data and is not a promise or indication of future performance. Market
conditions change and a statistical edge can stop working. Test on a demo account first,
never risk money you cannot afford to lose, and use the product entirely at your own risk.
