Colosseum MT5

Colosseum MT5 3.0 is a fully automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD / Gold on MetaTrader 5.

Colosseum was developed for larger breakout, trend and momentum movements in the gold market.

The EA is not a fast scalper. Its Warrior strategies target larger market movements with corresponding trade management and trailing.

Colosseum waits for the internal conditions of its individual strategies and does not trade continuously.

6 INDEPENDENT WARRIOR STRATEGIES

Colosseum 3.0 combines six independent trading strategies:

• Gladius
• Spartacus
• Maximus
• Legion
• Phantom
• Titan

Each Warrior has its own trading logic, entry parameters, Stop Loss, Take Profit and trade management.

The strategies can trade independently and can be enabled or disabled individually.

Colosseum 3.0 limits each strategy to a maximum of one open position at a time.

MONEY MANAGEMENT

Colosseum offers three different methods for position sizing:

• Fixed Lot – fixed lot size
• Risk Percent – automatic position size based on the selected percentage risk
• Risk per Balance – automatic lot scaling according to the current account balance

Money Management can be configured separately for Gladius, Spartacus, Maximus, Legion, Phantom and Titan.

Several Warriors can trade at the same time. The combined overall risk should therefore always be taken into account.

AUTOMATIC TRADE MANAGEMENT

Colosseum handles the complete trade management:

The individual Warriors manage their positions independently.

INTERNALLY OPTIMIZED TRAILING

Colosseum 3.0 uses internally optimized trailing settings for its Warriors.

The production entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit and trailing values are deliberately stored internally and do not need to be manually optimized by the user.

The trailing system was designed for larger market movements and gives the market more room than a very short-term scalping system.

Depending on the Warrior, the system takes into account factors including:

• Trailing Start
• Trailing Distance
• Trailing Step
• Stop Levels
• Freeze Levels
• fast market movements
• broker execution

Titan uses its own specifically tuned trailing setup.

HYBRID PROTECTION SYSTEM

Colosseum uses a multi-stage protection system.

Under normal conditions, the EA first attempts to update the visible Stop Loss directly with the broker.

If a requested Stop Loss adjustment cannot be completed temporarily, for example because of Stop Levels, Freeze Levels, temporary broker errors or a rejected modification, the protection logic can continue internally with a virtual fallback.

This allows the trade management to remain active even during temporary Stop Loss modification problems.

NEWS FILTER

Colosseum includes an integrated News Filter for important USD economic news.

By default, events including the following are monitored:

• FOMC / Fed Rate Decision / Fed Press Conference
• CPI / Core CPI
• Non-Farm Payrolls
• Unemployment Rate
• Average Hourly Earnings
• PCE / Core PCE

Additional events can be enabled:

• PPI / Core PPI
• US GDP
• Retail Sales
• ISM Manufacturing
• ISM Services

By default, new entries can be blocked 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after selected news events.

Existing Colosseum Pending Orders can also be removed within this news window.

The News Filter is optional and can be disabled.

NEWS WEEK RISK MODE

Colosseum 3.0 also includes a manual News Week Risk Mode.

Available settings:

• OFF
• REDUCE 25%
• REDUCE 50%

This allows trading risk to be deliberately reduced during especially volatile or important news weeks.

The reduction is applied to the position size or selected risk setting.

IMPORTANT – NEWS FILTER SETUP

For the external News Filter to work, the required WebRequest must be allowed in MetaTrader 5.

In MT5:

Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest

Then add the news URL shown in the Colosseum EA to the list of allowed WebRequest URLs.

WEEKEND PROTECTION

From Friday 22:00 broker/server time, Colosseum Pending Orders are deleted and new Pending Orders are blocked.

The block remains active throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Normal operation resumes from Monday 00:00 broker/server time.

Positions that are already open remain unaffected and continue to be managed by the normal trade and protection system.

BROKER QUALITY & EXECUTION MONITORING

Colosseum monitors not only the broker ping, but the actual quality of trade execution.

Factors taken into account include:

• actual Execution Time
• broker rejects
• Slippage
• Spread

Colosseum uses these values to calculate its own Broker Quality rating.

A low ping alone does not guarantee good execution.

VPS QUALITY

Broker execution and VPS connection quality are rated separately.

Broker Quality evaluates actual order execution.

VPS Quality evaluates factors including:

• connection to the trading server
• current ping / latency
• connection status

This helps distinguish whether possible execution problems are more likely related to the broker or to the server/VPS connection.

DASHBOARD

The Colosseum Dashboard can be switched ON or OFF.

It displays information including:

Colosseum may remain without a trade for a longer period after startup.

Each Warrior waits for its own internal market conditions.

Wait for the setup. Do not force trades.

BROKER & EXECUTION

Colosseum was developed for larger market movements and less short-term trade management than classic scalping systems.

Even so, different brokers can produce different results despite identical trading logic.

Factors that can affect results include:

• Spread
• Slippage
• Execution Time
• broker rejects
• liquidity and market conditions
• account type
• server location
• VPS quality
• XAUUSD contract specifications

A low ping alone does not guarantee good execution.

BEFORE LIVE TRADING

Before live trading, Colosseum should always be tested under the conditions of the user's own broker.

Particular attention should be paid to:

• Drawdown
• Spread
• Slippage
• Execution Time
• required margin
• combined risk of all enabled Warriors

It is recommended to start with low risk or a small lot size and observe the EA's behavior under the user's own broker conditions.
