The art of a trader is to find the "starting point." Many of the main, powerful market movements take shape right after the initial excitement at the beginning of key trading sessions (Asia, London, and New York) subsides. The Session Start Breakout indicator is an advanced analytical tool designed precisely to help you identify these critical moments and potential opportunities.
This tool is a powerful analytical assistant, not an automated trading system or a magic robot. Its purpose is to empower you to better understand the market structure at daily turning points.
Indicator Logic and Functionality
The indicator's functionality is based on a simple yet highly effective three-step logic:
- Identify the Initial Session Range: At the start of each trading session you have enabled, the indicator identifies a range of candles based on the numbers you specify (by default on the 5-minute timeframe).
- Draw the Decision Zone: The highest high and lowest low of these initial candles are marked as a key "decision zone" with a purple box. This area represents the initial balance of power between buyers and sellers in that session.
- Visualize the Breakout Scenario: As soon as the first candle closes outside this purple box, the indicator automatically draws a trading scenario on the chart. This scenario includes an Entry line, a Stop Loss, and three Take Profit levels based on your desired risk-to-reward ratios.
