How the EA works

The EA trades strictly in the direction of the trend based on short-term and long-term EMA on the applied timeframe. It opens BUY positions when a Supertrend buy signal appears in alignment with the EMA uptrend, and opens SELL positions when a Supertrend sell signal appears in alignment with the EMA downtrend.

An optional higher-timeframe trend filter can be enabled to ensure trades follow the main market trend. Stop Loss and Take Profit levels are fully customizable. Positions are closed automatically when Take Profit is reached, when a trend reversal is detected, or when Stop Loss is triggered.

Core Supertrend logic: Open Buy when Supertrend flips from Down to Up. Open Sell when it flips from Up to Down.
Optional filters: EMA trend short and long, HTF EMA, spread limits.

The default settings are optimized for XAUUSD on the M5 timeframe, with a recommended minimum starting balance of $1,000.
Of course, the EA will still run on a $100 account. However, the current strategy has been designed and optimized for larger account sizes, so performance and risk management may not be ideal with a smaller balance.

The EA does not need to be activated again after being attached to the chart. If the EA has stopped opening trades, please check whether Algo Trading is still enabled. I also recommend enabling the Dashboard feature in the EA settings so you can monitor its operating status.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your feedback.
The EA actually supports both Buy and Sell trades. In your current settings, the trend filter (EMA 200 on D1) is enabled, so the EA only trades in the direction of the main trend:
- Uptrend → Buy only
- Downtrend → Sell only
You can disable this option if you want the EA to take both Buy and Sell trades.
However, I recommend keeping this filter enabled, as trading with the trend usually gives more stable results.

Привет, скачал советник Supertrend пробую его тестировать монета золото на разных таймфреймах . На стандартных настройках , пока демо Депозит 4000 за период январь, февраль, март, получаю минус 30%. не принимайте это как отрицательный отзыв, это мой первый опыт. я буду продолжать настраивать советника, спасибо за продукт.

In this case, you may want to adjust the Take Profit (points) parameter to better match the volatility of the instrument you are trading. Hola, Gracias por tu mensaje y por utilizar Supertrend G5. Para poder ayudarte mejor, por favor envíame una captura de pantalla a través de mensaje privado en MQL5. Así podré revisar la configuración, los parámetros y el símbolo que estás utilizando. Con la imagen será mucho más fácil identificar si se trata de algún ajuste, configuración del robot o algo relacionado con el broker. Quedo atento a tu mensaje para poder apoyarte lo antes posible.
