The US Dollar Index on your chart, built live from your own broker's six currency pairs.
The dollar index is the cleanest read there is on whether the dollar itself is moving, or whether it is the other side of your pair doing the work. When EURUSD falls you cannot tell from EURUSD alone whether the euro is weak or the dollar is strong. The index tells you. Put it under any chart and you are looking at the dollar on its own terms.
It replicates the ICE US Dollar Index, widely quoted as DXY. Same six currencies, same published weights, same constant, calculated from spot midpoints:

- British Pound 11.9%
- Canadian Dollar 9.1%
- Swedish Krona 4.2%
- Swiss Franc 3.6%
True candles, not approximated ones. The high of an index is not the index of the highs - the euro and the pound carry negative weights, so the index peaks when they are at their lows. Rather than guess at it, every candle here is built by walking the bars inside it - every minute on charts up to H1, wider steps above that - calculating the index at each step, and taking the real high and low of that series. Wick, up body and down body are each independently colourable. Switch to a line instead whenever you prefer one.
An optional VWAP. Anchored daily, weekly, or run continuously. The index has no traded volume of its own, so this weights by the combined tick volume of the six pairs over the same step - a measure of how busy the dollar was.
It finds your pairs whatever your broker calls them. EURUSD.a, EURUSDm, EURUSD_i, mEURUSD - all matched automatically, and added to Market Watch for you. Nothing to configure and nothing to add by hand.
It draws when the market is shut. The series is built from bar history rather than from live ticks, so the index is on your chart at the weekend, ready for Sunday-night preparation.
Two moving averages, both optional. Independently switchable, each with its own period, colour and choice of Simple, Exponential, Smoothed or Linear Weighted. Useful for spotting a crossover on the dollar while you are reading a USD pair - turn them off and the pane stays clean.
It tells you when something is missing. Some brokers do not carry USDSEK. When a pair is absent the indicator names it in the window title, so you know exactly what to add. If you would rather see something than nothing, there is an option to draw a five-pair index with the krona's weight shared across the rest - and it relabels itself so you always know which one you are looking at.

Worth knowing
The index is calculated from the quotes your own broker publishes. It tracks the official index closely and turns where it turns - use it for direction, strength and crossovers. The levels are your feed's, so read it as a dollar gauge rather than as a price to arbitrage against the futures contract.
