The “Kalman Filter Color” indicator was faithfully designed based on the official Python library called pykalman, which in turn was based on the original Kalman filter created by Rudolf Kalman in 1960. The traditional Kalman filter is based on an algorithm that has a wide variety of applications in physics and engineering. It involves the control and prediction of states (prices) based on self-adjusting mechanisms and in the presence of noise.

In this case, pykalman has been adapted and optimized for use in technical analysis, with standard parameters applied to replicate the behavior of a more sophisticated moving average. Therefore, users are strongly advised that, unless they have advanced knowledge, the only parameters they should modify are the transition covariance (InpTransitionCovariance) and the observation covariance (InpObservationCovariance), since the other parameters are set by default to ensure optimal performance.

The underlying mathematical properties of the indicator will not be discussed in detail, but curious users who wish to delve deeper into the subject can consult the official pykalman documentation, as well as the bibliography, application examples, or external educational resources such as MathWorks.
