Overview

The Telegram Dashboard Monitor EA is a monitoring tool for MetaTrader 4 that sends account status updates and alerts via Telegram. This tool helps traders stay informed about their account conditions, including equity, free margin, open positions, pending orders, and connection status.

Key Features

Account Monitoring Functions

  • Equity Alerts – notification when account equity falls below a user‑defined level.

  • Free Margin Alerts – warning when free margin drops below a user‑defined threshold.

  • Connection Monitoring – alerts when the terminal loses or regains connection to the broker.

  • Terminal Stall Detection – notification if no new tick arrives for 5 minutes.

  • Account and Server Change Tracking – alerts when the trading account or server changes.

  • Timeframe Change Tracking – notification when the chart period is changed.


Scheduled Heartbeat

  • User‑defined list of hours (local time) when a status message is sent.

  • The heartbeat message includes: free margin, floating P&L, number of open market orders.


Daily Reports

  • Configurable report hour (0‑23, local time).

  • Choose which days to receive the report: weekdays, Saturday, Sunday, or any combination.

  • Report contains:

    • Account summary (equity, balance, free margin, margin level).

    • Market orders summary (symbols, lots, floating P&L).

    • Pending orders summary (symbols, lots) – only if any exist.

    • Closed P&L for the current server day.

    • Total floating P&L.


On‑chart Control Panel

  • A responsive panel that stays on the chart.

  • Toggle buttons to enable/disable each alert type and heartbeat.

  • Editable fields for equity alert level and free margin threshold (changes apply immediately).

  • Buttons to send a manual report and a test alert.


Timezone Support

  • Select your local UTC offset from a list of 45+ options.

  • All scheduled events (heartbeat, daily report) use your local time.

  • The panel shows both server time and your local time.


Broker Compatibility

  • Works with most brokers that allow WebRequest to  https://api.telegram.org .

  • Does not require DLL imports.

  • Automatically detects account currency for correct formatting (JPY, KRW, IDR, BHD, etc.).

     

    How It Works

    Setup Process

    1. Create a Telegram bot through BotFather.

    2. Obtain the bot token and your chat ID.

    3. Enter these credentials in the EA parameters.

    4. Select your local UTC offset.

    5. Define the hours when you want to receive heartbeat messages.

    6. Set your equity alert level and free margin threshold (you can also change them later on the panel).

    7. Choose the daily report hour and the days of the week for the report.

    Operation

    • The EA runs on any chart in your MT5 terminal.

    • It continuously monitors your account.

    • When a condition is met (equity too low, margin too low, connection lost, etc.), it sends a message to your Telegram.

    • At each scheduled heartbeat hour, it sends a status update.

    • Once per day (on the selected days), it sends a detailed report.

       

      Input Parameters
      Telegram_Bot_Token Your Telegram bot token (from BotFather).
      Telegram_Chat_ID Your Telegram chat ID (personal or group).
      ReportHour Hour for the daily report (0‑23, your local time).
