Sentinel EA v4.9 — Survival-First Multi-Pair Portfolio Trading for MT5
A portfolio risk engine with a disciplined entry model — not another "always-in" grid gambler.
Most EAs are built to look flawless in a backtest, then blow up on the first black-swan trend. Sentinel is built on the opposite principle: account survivability and controlled participation. A new trade is only allowed when the setup and your portfolio's risk budget both agree. If a trade isn't mathematically responsible for the account, it's blocked.
One chart. Seven pre-optimized pairs.
Attach Sentinel to a single chart (EURUSD M5 is advised) in controller mode and it runs a pre-optimized 7-pair FX basket:

No set-file hunting. The optimization is already embedded — your only job is to confirm your broker's symbol names and set lot size and risk limits to your tolerance.
Why it survives where others margin-call
Entry first, grid second. Sentinel qualifies entries with weekly bias, Bollinger exhaustion and ATR volatility filters — and sits flat roughly 75–80% of the time, waiting for structural exhaustion instead of forcing constant exposure. Every basket opens with a defined TP and SL from the very first order. The hybrid grid is a volatility response, never a rescue mechanism for bad entries.
Global Portfolio Guard. The core safety layer. Even if ten pairs signal at once, Sentinel caps active baskets (e.g. 2–3 sets) to prevent correlated margin-call cascades when USD or correlated pairs all move together. It continuously tracks floating P/L, drawdown and leverage, and can flatten every Sentinel basket the moment your equity threshold is hit.
Read its mind — no black box
The built-in AI State Engine writes Sentinel's live reasoning straight to the dashboard:

Take the wheel — one-tap manual control
Sentinel runs automated, but you're never locked out. Every pair on the dashboard has its own Buy, Sell and Close buttons, so you can act on a discretionary view without ever leaving the panel:
- Buy / Sell — open a market order on that pair instantly. It's then fully managed by Sentinel exactly like an automated entry: same SL/TP, break-even, exit-after-bars and grid handling.
- Close — flatten every open position on that pair in a single tap, including manual platform trades and orders from other EAs on the same symbol.
- Override, not chaos — manual entries bypass the news filter, the master Buy/Sell switches and the daily trade limit, but they still respect your Global Portfolio Guard set limit. A discretionary trade can never break the risk ceiling you configured.

How to backtest
Use the EURUSD M5 chart with the provided Strategy Tester set file. If full-history loading is too heavy, test the most recent 4–5 years.

Sentinel is a professional trading tool, not a guaranteed-income product. It uses controlled basket logic, which means floating drawdown will occur. No automated system can guarantee profits — past performance, whether live or backtested, does not indicate future results. I purchased the Sentinel EA for MT5 and have been using it, and the developer is very helpful. The EA is generating profits little by little, and there aren’t many trades that make me feel anxious. I think it’s a fantastic EA as long as you manage it while keeping risks in check. I believe I can gradually generate profits and grow my capital through compounding.
