What This Utility Does
Fortress Compliance Monitor tracks twelve prop firm rules on your account and warns you, on the chart and by alert, before a limit is breached.
This is a monitoring utility, not a trading robot. It never opens, closes or modifies a position. It reads your account and your trade history, and it reports. Every trading decision stays yours.
Why Funded Accounts Are Lost
Funded accounts are rarely lost because of bad analysis. They are lost because a trader forgets when the daily loss counter resets, holds a position into the weekend, closes a trade thirty seconds after opening it, or runs out of evaluation days. These rules are easy to understand and easy to forget. This utility keeps all twelve of them in front of you, on one panel, at all times.
The Twelve Rules It Monitors
1. Daily Loss Limit. Closed and floating loss measured against your day-start balance, with a countdown to the next reset.
2. Overall Drawdown. Static from your initial balance, or trailing from a high-water mark. Trailing supports an intraday peak or an end-of-day peak, and can lock at an account value you choose.
3. Consistency. The profit of your best day as a share of your total profit. At most firms this is a payout condition rather than a live failure, so it is reported as a watch item.
4. News Blackout. Warns while a high-impact economic event falls inside your chosen window, using the Economic Calendar built into MetaTrader 5.
5. Inactivity. Warns when the account has been idle for more days than your firm allows.
6. Max Open Positions. How many positions are open at the same time.
7. Minimum Hold Time. Flags any position closed faster than your firm permits.
8. Weekend Hold. A position still open after your Friday cut-off, or over the weekend.
9. Minimum Trading Days. Counts real trading days and shows your progress.
10. Evaluation Deadline. Counts down from your evaluation start date.
11. Max Risk Per Trade. Stop-loss based risk on each position, and total risk across all open positions.
12. Consecutive Daily Losses. How many losing days in a row.
The On-Chart Panel
One panel shows every rule at once, each on its own line, marked OK, WATCH, BLACKOUT or BREACH.
Drag the panel anywhere by its title bar. Its position is remembered for each symbol and timeframe.
Collapse it to a single line whenever you want a clear chart.
Two layouts are available: tall with one column, and wide with two columns and half the height, so the panel never has to cover your candles.
Corner, offset, font size, background colour and text colour are all adjustable.
Percent And Account Currency Shown Together
Prop firms publish their limits in percent, in account currency, or in both. So does this panel. Daily Loss, Overall Drawdown and Profit Target each show what you have used and what your limit is, in both units at the same time. Enter a limit in one unit and the other is calculated for you.
You can also choose what the figures are measured against: Balance, Equity, or whichever of the two is lower. Firms differ on this, and getting it wrong is how traders are caught out.
Built-In Firm Presets
Nine presets are available: eight prop firm presets that fill in the common limits as a starting point, and a Custom mode for any firm that is not listed. Preset values are a researched reference, not a promise. The utility reminds you to verify them against your own firm dashboard, and Custom mode covers anything that differs.
Three Alert Modes
Alert once for each breach.
Repeat a reminder at an interval you set, until the breach clears.
Silent mode, where the panel updates but no pop-up appears.
Every alert names the rule and the actual figure behind it, so you know what happened without opening anything else.
Trading Day And Time Zone Handling
The daily reset follows your broker server time, or a time zone you select, with daylight saving handled automatically.
The week start day, the Friday cut-off and the Sunday re-open hour are all configurable.
The weekend, inactivity and deadline rules keep working even when no ticks arrive.
Saved State And Restart Safety
Counters, high-water marks, your evaluation start date and every breach flag are stored for each account and survive a terminal restart, so a reboot in the middle of a challenge does not reset your history.
Every Rule Can Be Switched Off
Each rule accepts the value -1 to turn it off. If your firm has no consistency rule, or removes its news restriction, you switch that rule off and never see another alert about it. The utility adapts to your firm, instead of forcing your firm rules to match the utility.
Who This Utility Is For
Traders in a prop firm challenge or evaluation who need to see every limit at once.
Funded traders who want a warning before a hard breach, not after it.
Anyone applying a personal daily loss or drawdown discipline on a live account.
What This Utility Does Not Do
It does not open, close or modify positions.
It does not block your trading or your broker.
It does not connect to any external website or service.
It does not promise or imply any profit.
Setup In Four Steps
1. Attach the utility to one chart on the account you want to monitor. Any symbol and any timeframe will do. One chart is enough, because it reads the whole account.
2. Open the Inputs tab and select your firm preset, or Custom.
3. Enter your own firm figures for the rules that apply to you.
4. Set every rule you do not need to -1. It will show as off and stay silent.
Two Settings Worth Filling In On The First Day
Initial Account Balance. Your real starting balance, so drawdown is measured from the correct figure even if the saved state file is ever lost.
Evaluation Start Date. The day your challenge began, so the deadline and the trading-day counter are correct from the start.
Run the utility on the account you want to monitor. It reports what that account is doing, so any other strategy trading the same account is counted as well.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this utility place trades?
No. It contains no order functions at all. It only reads the account and warns you.
Which prop firms does it work with?
Any of them. Eight firm presets are built in as a starting point, and Custom mode lets you enter the figures of any firm. Every rule can be switched off if your firm does not use it.
Do I need one copy on every chart?
No. One chart for each account is enough. The utility reads the whole account, not only the chart it is attached to.
Does it work on a VPS?
Yes. Counters and history are saved for each account and restored after a restart.
What if my firm measures limits in account currency instead of percent?
Enter the currency limits and set Threshold Mode accordingly. The panel shows both units, and it tells you if a rule has no usable limit under the mode you selected.
Why does the News Blackout rule show nothing?
It uses the Economic Calendar built into MetaTrader 5. The terminal must be online, and the calendar is empty in the Strategy Tester, where the rule switches itself off instead of raising false alarms. If the Calendar tab in your Toolbox is empty, the utility has nothing to read either.
Can I move the panel away from my candles?
Yes. Drag it by its title bar, collapse it to a single line, or switch it to the wide layout, which is half the height.
Important Notes
Preset limits are a researched reference. Prop firms change their rules. Always verify the figures against your own firm dashboard and use Custom mode if anything differs.
This utility warns you. It does not prevent anything. The decision is always yours.
The screenshots show all twelve rules enabled. By default only the universally used limits are switched on, so you can enable the rules your own firm actually applies.
No profit is promised or implied. This is a monitoring tool.
