Rampart Gold is a swing-trading Expert Advisor for XAUUSD on the H4 timeframe. It trades market structure shifts (BOS / CHOCH) with M5 confirmation entries, percentage-based risk sizing, and ATR-based stop-loss placement. Built for traders who value low drawdown and long-term statistical consistency, not high monthly returns.
**FULL DESCRIPTION / OVERVIEW**
Rampart Gold identifies Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHOCH) events on the H4 timeframe for XAUUSD, then confirms entries using a lower-timeframe M5 CHOCH confirmation filter. Position sizing is percentage-risk based, and stop-loss distances are calculated using ATR rather than a fixed pip value, so the stop adapts to current market volatility.
The EA includes a market condition filter, an hour-of-day filter, a news-event blackout window, spread protection, and weekend/calendar handling, keeping trades within the conditions the strategy was tested for.
Rampart Gold has been tested on real tick data over a 5-year window on a $10,000 account with 1:300 leverage: 232 trades, Profit Factor 1.21, Sharpe Ratio 12.07, maximum drawdown 11.60–13.48%, Net Profit approximately $2,727 at 1% risk.
Rampart Gold is not designed to produce large monthly percentage returns, and it will not suit traders looking for that. It is built for traders who understand risk-managed compounding: a statistically consistent edge applied patiently over a long time horizon. Buyers should be comfortable with modest, steady account growth rather than aggressive short-term gains.
