A drawdown recovery advisor that manages trades using the zone recovery method and displays the maximum cycle loss in monetary terms and as a percentage of the balance before opening the first position. The first trade can be opened in any of four ways: manually in the terminal or from a phone, using another advisor, the Buy or Sell button on the panel, or the advisor itself using a built-in strategy or custom indicator. Trading then proceeds completely automatically. The advisor picks up the other trade's position and manages it as if it were its own. When moving in the direction of the trade, the stop loss is moved to breakeven and adjusted accordingly. When moving against the trade, a ladder of counter pending orders is created, the volumes of which are determined based on the accumulated loss, costs, and target, rather than being taken from a multiplier table. The cycle closes at the specified target, taking into account commissions and swaps, regardless of which way the price exits the zone. This advisor works on hedging and netting accounts.
The Expert Advisor runs one cycle per chart: from the first trade to the full closure of the basket. The first trade is accompanied by a stop loss move to breakeven (either at the entry point or by locking in half the profit), trailing based on the percentage of the maximum move in favor of the trade, and, if necessary, a hidden take profit. The cycle target is set in points per starting lot, in monetary terms, or as a percentage of the balance. The starting volume is either fixed or automatically selected based on the risk budget as a percentage of the balance, as the largest lot whose worst-case scenario falls within this budget. Five behavior profiles, from Very Aggressive to Very Light, determine how quickly the level volumes increase and the location of the basket's breakeven point. Individual tasks are separated into separate blocks:
- Zone: The width is set in points, by ATR (period and multiplier, calculated based on H1), or by an explicit list of levels like 50; 50; 80; 120; the list takes precedence over the mode, and beyond its end, the final width continues to grow by the expansion multiplier. The expansion multiplier multiplies the zone width at each level; a value of 1.0 produces a classic fixed zone. The panel displays the zone-to-spread ratio and highlights it when it drops below 20.
- Risk before entry: a plan table with the price and volume of each level, the maximum loss in monetary terms and as a percentage of the balance with the safe, aggressive, dangerous, or not feasible class, the maximum total volume, and the "All charts" row with the total worst-case scenario across all charts on which the EA is running. A plan deemed "not feasible" by volume or margin does not submit any orders; a "dangerous" plan on a live chart can only be opened manually after a warning; automatic entries reject it.
- Policy after the last level: close everything at the far edge of the zone exactly at the maximum shown, or hold the basket, stop adding levels, and close it when half of the drawdown has been recouped, the target has been reached, or the cycle's emergency stop percentage has been triggered. Holding has no fixed ceiling, so it can be combined with an emergency stop.
- Inputs: Manual (buttons), Random for testing, RSI reversal, Bollinger band fade, MACD cross, MA cross, Stochastic reversal, Donchian breakout, Heiken Ashi flip, ADX (crossover of DI+ and DI- with ADX above the level), Ichimoku (crossover of Tenkan and Kijun), Buy only, Sell only, and Custom indicator; the signal timeframe is set separately from the chart timeframe. Reverse turns any strategy into a counter-trend one, while Continuous repeats the direction of the manual cycle after it is closed. The custom indicator is connected by name and parameter string; the signal can be read in four ways: arrow buffers, level crossover, zero crossover, and direction code.
- External trades: the first trade in the cycle is a manual position without a magic number, any other trader's position on the symbol, or a position from the magic list. The SL and TP of such a trade are removed to prevent the cycle from ending behind the EA's back, or they remain, in which case the panel displays a warning.
- Cycle start filters and limits: Asian, European, American sessions or a custom window based on server time, days of the week, maximum spread, news filter using the built-in calendar with a pre- and post-event window and selection of only important news, daily loss limit, and daily profit target in the account currency. These apply only to the opening of a new cycle and never interfere with recovery levels.
The ladder is managed within the EA: on a netting account, the legs are calculated virtually, and closing occurs based on the cash target, so the behavior is identical on both account types. Levels that the broker rejects due to maximum volume or margin are marked as blocked, and the chart shows at which level the plan is cut off. The target and zone width are changed during the cycle via settings, and the volume and trigger price of the pending order are recalculated. Pause stops adding levels and closes the cycle when half of the drawdown accumulated since the pause has been recouped or the target has been reached; Close All closes the basket immediately after confirmation. The cycle state survives terminal restarts, timeframe changes, and settings edits. A zone strip with trigger prices, numbered points of executed levels on their bars, a next-level tag with volume and distance, breakeven lines, and basket targets are drawn on the chart. The closed cycle leaves a card with the result, number of levels, and reason for closing.
