Daily Candle Overlay (MT5) — Visualize the Major Trend at a Glance

Daily Candle Overlay is a technical indicator for MetaTrader 5 designed to simplify multi-timeframe (MTF) analysis. It displays the current daily (D1) candle in real-time directly on your lower timeframe charts (M1, M5, M15, H1, etc.).

To prevent your charts from becoming cluttered or obstructing your indicators, the candle is drawn cleanly in the empty space to the right of the current price.

In trading, keeping an eye on the higher-timeframe trend is essential to filter out false signals. This tool was developed with one specific goal in mind: to save you from constantly switching back and forth between your short-term charts and the daily chart.

By instantly visualizing whether the current day is bullish or bearish, you can easily align your short-term setups with the major market flow.

🔹 Adjustable Settings

  • Bullish / Bearish Color: Customize the body and wick colors (compatible with both dark and light chart backgrounds).

  • Body Width: Adjust the horizontal width of the candle (measured in number of bars) for optimal visibility.

  • Right Offset: Determine how far to the right of the current price the candle should be displayed.

⚠️ Important Usage Note

For the candle to be visible to the right of the price, you must enable the "Chart Shift" option in MetaTrader 5 (Press Alt + O -> General tab -> check "Chart shift", or click the Chart Shift icon on your top toolbar).
