AXR Prop Guard is an account-wide risk protection utility for MetaTrader 5. It is built for prop-firm traders, funded-account challenges, and serious private account protection.
It is part of the AXR tool line. For updates and contact options, use the official MQL5 pages:

The core question:
Is this account still inside the configured risk rules, and what can still go wrong if current trades hit their stop losses?
Why It Helps
Many funded-account failures are not caused by a missing entry signal. They are caused by rule breaches: daily loss, maximum loss, missing stop losses, too much open risk, high spread, news windows, weekend exposure, consistency rules, or a simple lack of account visibility.
AXR Prop Guard keeps these risks visible on the chart. It watches the account, builds account snapshots, tracks active rule floors, calculates remaining headroom, checks projected stop-loss risk, logs important events, and can optionally react when protection is enabled.
Use AXR as a guard layer around your own trading process, manual trading, or other EAs. AXR does not replace your strategy. It helps protect the account rules around it.
Account-Wide Protection
AXR Prop Guard can monitor the whole trading account, not only the chart symbol. This is important for prop accounts and useful for normal accounts where manual trades or several EAs can create risk at the same time.
The scope can also be limited to the current chart symbol or to a configured magic number when the trader wants a narrower view.
| Protection area | What AXR monitors |
|---|---|
| Loss rules | Daily loss, maximum loss, optional weekly loss, active floors, warning, critical, and breach levels |
| Projected risk | Remaining headroom after current open stop-loss risk and pending-order risk |
| Trade safety | Missing stop losses, max open risk, max risk per trade, symbol loss, floating loss, and daily profit caps |
| Market guards | Spread, news windows, and weekend/session close conditions |
| Prop progress | Profit target, challenge phase, minimum trading days, valid days, and best-day consistency |
| Account operation | Exposure, activity, payout rules, trading permissions, lock state, audit events, and reset state |
Visual Guard Panel
The main panel gives a compact live view of account health: Guard state, Daily Loss, Max Loss, Headroom, Target, action mode, trade lock, readiness, and key rule indicators.
For deeper review, the Rule Details panel shows grouped rule information for Account, Trade Risk, Market, Progress, Caps, and Model. The Event Audit dock keeps recent guard events visible with timestamps, including warnings, critical states, resets, locks, and protection actions.
AXR chart notifications can appear directly on the guard chart and on the chart the trader is currently watching. This helps important account-risk events stay visible without forcing the trader to stare at one chart all day.
Protection Modes
The global Guard Action Mode controls what AXR is allowed to do.
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Simulation Only | Calculates and displays account state without live alerts or protection actions |
| Alert Only | Warns and logs, but leaves trades and orders open |
| Protective Close | Can close or delete selected incoming risk according to active protection rules |
| Full Protection | Allows stronger account-wide protection behavior when a breach or selected protection rule requires it |
Protection actions require MetaTrader terminal Algo Trading, EA-level Algo Trading, and account trading permission. If one of these layers is disabled, AXR can still monitor and log, but it cannot close positions or delete pending orders until permission is restored.
Prop-Firm Setfiles
AXR Prop Guard uses transparent MT5 setfile-based presets for firm, program, and phase rule models. Setfiles are designed to fill firm-specific rule values while leaving user preferences such as Guard Action Mode, notification behavior, panel options, scope, and personal warning levels under user control.
This means a trader can load a prop-program setup and still decide personally whether AXR should only warn, simulate, close selected risk, or run stronger protection behavior.
Always verify the current rules of your firm and program before trading. Prop rules can change, and no preset should be treated as a permanent guarantee.

Important Notes
AXR Prop Guard is not a trading robot, signal indicator, copy-trading system, or challenge-passing service. It does not decide when to buy or sell and it cannot make trading risk-free.
MetaTrader and broker execution have limits. External EAs and manual orders can still reach the broker before AXR reacts. The product improves risk visibility, logs important account events, and can perform configured protective actions when permissions and settings allow it.
