I have built and tested trading software for more than eight years. I build and test gold (XAUUSD) Expert Advisors, which are trading robots, for MetaTrader 5 and 4. Ideas start in a Python engine, then go through the MT5 Strategy Tester (MetaTrader's backtesting tool) on 1-minute OHLC, which builds - Version: 1.1

Silver Ternion trades silver, WTI oil and USDJPY from one MT5 chart. Eleven breakout strategies give each market its own entries and exits, with three exposure modes built into the EA.
How it trades
Each strategy follows confirmed price levels on higher timeframes and waits for a breakout. Orders have a stop loss and profit target from the start. The EA manages open trades with the trailing and break-even rules assigned to each strategy. Entry levels adapt to volatility or reference prices, while market and session filters decide when to trade.
Choose your exposure
Aggressive is the default and uses 100% of the base sizing. Choose Balanced (75%) or Conservative (50%) for smaller positions. After a losing streak, the EA reduces size. If an allocation falls below the broker’s minimum lot, it skips that entry instead of increasing the volume. It checks trade responses, retries failed exits and restores its saved state after a restart.
Getting started
Attach one instance to your silver H1 chart on a hedging account. Enter your broker’s symbols for silver, WTI oil, USDJPY and the Japan index used by the filter. The defaults are XAGUSD, XTIUSD, USDJPY and JP225. Keep MT5 connected with algorithmic trading enabled.
Account size
Suggested starting balance: $500 on a USD hedging account with 1:500 leverage and a 0.01-lot minimum matching the tested contracts. The EA skips entries that fall below the broker minimum. Check your broker’s contract sizes before starting.
MT5 tests
The reports use the MT5 broker feed and standard broker lot limits. Account settings and test dates are shown with the results. The latest available session is November 2, 2026. Historical results do not guarantee future performance.
