Thermal Liquidity Engine – Order Flow and Liquidity EA for Gold, Bitcoin and Indices
Thermal Liquidity Engine is a fully automated Expert Advisor that reads the balance between buying and selling pressure from tick data, watches volume activity and market structure, and takes its profit targets at liquidity levels – the price zones where the market has shown the most activity. Entries are taken on closed bars, every trade carries a stop loss from the moment it opens, and the stop is then managed bar by bar. The EA is built for the M2 chart and comes with tested set files for four markets. It runs especially well on gold (XAUUSD), Bitcoin (BTCUSD) and the Nasdaq 100 (USTEC).
PROPERTIES
- Several entry modes in one EA, selectable in the settings: continuation after a volume spike, breakout from a range, and scalping at the edge of a range.
- Profit targets at liquidity levels instead of fixed distances; optional partial close.
- Stop loss on the server for every position, placed at market structure and never closer than a minimum distance, so no tiny stop with a huge lot.
- Trailing stop with four selectable methods, plus optional break-even, profit lock and time stop – each with its own switch.
- Risk-based position size (% of balance or equity) or fixed lots. A signal whose minimum lot would exceed the chosen risk is skipped.
- Optional multi-timeframe trend agreement.
- Trading hours, maximum trades per day, spread filter and direction filter, each with its own switch.
- Works on hedging and netting accounts.
- On-chart status panel with selectable corner. Color scheme: Auto (follows your chart colors) or Custom.
STRENGTHS AND LIMITS
+ Same logic on every market; only the set file changes.
+ Set files that held up on two different tick feeds, not just on one.
+ Every position is protected by a stop loss on the server.
– Short test history: about five and a half months of tick data. A different market phase can look different.
– Results depend on the broker's tick feed (see the two result lines per market below).
– Small accounts: on expensive symbols the minimum lot can be larger than the risk allows, then the trade is skipped.
TESTED SET FILES (MT5 Strategy Tester, M2, 21.04.2026 – 06.10.2026, 1,000 EUR start, 3 % risk per trade)
Each set was run on two tick feeds: real ticks from a live account (L) and from a demo account (D).
- XAUUSD (gold): L +527 EUR, profit factor 1.53, max. drawdown 15.5 % | D +1,035 EUR, profit factor 2.15, max. drawdown 7.3 %
- BTCUSD: L +338 EUR, profit factor 1.74, max. drawdown 8.5 % | D +441 EUR, profit factor 1.52, max. drawdown 9.7 %
- USTEC (Nasdaq 100): L +330 EUR, profit factor 1.75, max. drawdown 8.7 % | D +333 EUR, profit factor 1.76, max. drawdown 8.6 %
- DE40 (DAX, chart M2): L +117 EUR, profit factor 2.90, max. drawdown 2.9 % | D +137 EUR, profit factor 3.11, max. drawdown 3.2 %
The sets were developed on exactly this period, so there is no fully unseen test period. Treat the figures as a guide, not as a promise. The screenshot shows the gold set on the demo tick feed.
REQUIREMENTS
- M2 chart. The broker's tick history is needed (recommended: test with real ticks).
- Hedging or netting account.
- The symbol names must match your broker's; a VPS is recommended.

IMPORTANT RISK NOTICE
Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of loss. Past results, backtests included, are no guarantee of future results. Only trade money you can afford to lose and test the EA on a demo account first.
