Chart Line Trade Manager – Trade Panel with Draggable SL, TP and Trail Lines and Risk-Based Lot Size
Chart Line Trade Manager is a manual trading tool, not an automated strategy. You place orders from a compact panel on the chart and manage your stops by dragging horizontal lines. The lot size is calculated from the distance to your stop line and the risk you choose, costs included.
WHAT IT DOES
- BUY / SELL: market order. Lot size from the distance price → stop line and your risk (% of balance, % of equity or a fixed amount). Lots are always rounded down. Optional: trade the minimum lot if the risk is too small for it. Without a dragged stop line no order is sent.
- BUY / SELL PENDING: order at the entry line; limit or stop follows from the position of the line.
- Stop-loss and take-profit lines: drag a line and the SL / TP of all positions and pending orders of that direction moves to it. New positions of that direction get the same levels.
- Trail line: once price reaches it, the distance to the stop line is frozen and the stop follows price in the profit direction.
- Break even: one level for all positions or one level per position. The level includes swap, commission and an offset you set.
- Close buttons: CLOSE BUY / SELL / ALL, "50%" (half of the volume, most profitable first) and "$" (all positions in net profit). Optional second-click confirmation.
- Info block: open lots, number of positions and the net result if all stops are hit (also in % of balance).
- Hotkeys: L shows / hides the lines, B sets break even.
REAL COSTS IN THE RISK
The risk contains the stop distance, the spread, the round-turn commission (learned from the deal history of the symbol, with an input as fallback) and an optional spread reserve. A hard cap per trade (default 5 % of balance) protects against input mistakes.
SAFETY BY DESIGN
- A newly switched-on stop or TP line is only a display until you have dragged it once. It never changes your existing positions by itself.
- Frequency guard: a position whose SL / TP is changed again and again by something else is frozen for a few minutes and reported.
- All SL / TP and close requests go out asynchronously in one pass.
PANEL
Four sizes, Dark / Light / System theme (System follows the chart colours), any chart corner, minimise button. Only one chart per symbol is active; a second chart of the same symbol waits in standby and takes over automatically.
REQUIREMENTS
Algo trading enabled. Hedging and netting accounts. The tool manages all positions of the chart symbol, also those opened by hand or by other EAs. Do not combine it with the built-in MT5 trailing stop or another stop manager on the same positions.

NOTE ON TESTING
This is an interactive tool. It acts only on your clicks and line movements, so the Strategy Tester shows no meaningful result. Please try it on a demo account first.
IMPORTANT RISK NOTICE
Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of loss. The tool does what you tell it to: a wrong line, risk value or direction costs real money. It cannot protect against gaps, slippage or order rejections by the broker. Only trade money you can afford to lose and test on a demo account first.
