FT XAUUSD Edge MT5 is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed for systematic XAUUSD trading on the H4 timeframe.
The strategy is based on long-term price structure and breakout levels. The EA does not attempt to predict every market movement. It waits for predefined trading conditions, places pending orders and automatically manages an active position.

TRADING CONCEPT
The EA monitors long-term price structure and determines price levels whose breakout may indicate the beginning of a directional market movement.
The system is not designed to open trades continuously. When one pending order is activated, the opposite pending order is removed. The active position is then managed using the initial Stop Loss and Trailing Stop logic.
The strategy focuses on participation in significant directional price expansion rather than producing a fixed number of trades every day or week. Periods of higher trading activity may alternate with periods of relatively few signals.
RISK MANAGEMENT
FT XAUUSD Edge includes an integrated position-sizing system. Position volume can be calculated automatically according to account capital and the selected risk configuration. Fixed lot trading is also available.
A maximum lot cap can be used to limit position growth as account capital increases. Before placing a trade, the EA estimates margin requirements. An additional protection layer calculates projected account conditions under an adverse price movement. Position size can be reduced or the trade can be skipped if the configured margin requirements are not satisfied.
RISK MODES
Conservative — lower trading exposure.
Aggressive — significantly higher exposure and potentially much larger equity fluctuations.
Custom — user-defined risk configuration.
Aggressive settings can result in substantial drawdowns. Users should select risk settings according to account size, leverage and individual risk tolerance.
