LC Multi Session VWAP
Trading activity changes continuously as the global markets move from Asia to London and finally to New York. Each session develops its own price behavior, liquidity profile and market balance.
LC Multi Session VWAP was designed to make these differences visible by calculating an individual Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) for every major trading session instead of using a single VWAP throughout the day.
Separate VWAP lines are available for:
- Asia
- London
- New York
Each session can therefore be evaluated independently, making it easier to compare changing market conditions during the trading day.
Optional Sigma Bands complement the VWAP by showing how far price has moved away from the current session's fair value.
Designed for Intraday Traders
The indicator is particularly useful for traders who want to observe:
- fair value during each trading session
- transitions between global market sessions
- price location relative to VWAP
- trending versus balanced markets
- expansion and contraction around fair value
LC Multi Session VWAP is intentionally focused on market observation. It performs no trade execution and does not produce automated entry or exit signals.
Flexible Display
Every major session is calculated independently, allowing traders to concentrate on the session that is currently most relevant.
Sigma Bands may be enabled to provide additional statistical context around the session VWAP while keeping the chart clean and easy to interpret.
Practical Applications
Many discretionary traders use session VWAP as a reference for understanding where the market is trading relative to current fair value.
The indicator can be incorporated into a wide variety of trading styles, including:
- intraday trading
- session analysis
- trend observation
- range analysis
- discretionary price action trading
Interpretation always remains under the trader's control.
Integration
LC Multi Session VWAP belongs to the LC family of analytical tools.
The same session definitions and calculation methodology are used consistently throughout the LC development project to provide a common analytical reference across future indicators and trading applications.
Summary
LC Multi Session VWAP provides an independent view of the Asia, London and New York trading sessions by combining separate session VWAP calculations with optional Sigma Bands.
The result is a structured visualization of session-based fair value that helps traders better understand changing market conditions during the trading day.
