Overview
Volcano Gold v2.0 is a next-generation institutional Expert Advisor designed exclusively for trading the XAU/USD (Spot Gold) pair on the M5 timeframe. Developed under the Institutional Series concept, it integrates a multi-layered quantitative engine that combines artificial intelligence, structural price analysis, professional volume metrics, and stochastic optimal control theory—all within a unified risk management system.
Artificial Intelligence Engine
The EA's core relies on two AI engines that operate in parallel:
BiLSTM Neural Network—A bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory neural network that analyzes the last 30 candlesticks in both forward and backward directions, capturing complex time dependencies in gold price behavior. The system evaluates momentum, candlestick structure, and volatility to generate a directional probability with a configurable confidence threshold.
Multinomial Logistic Regression — A statistical classifier with online learning (weights updated every N bars) that extracts up to 8 features per bar: short- and medium-term momentum, relative volatility, body/wick structure, and relative position within the historical range. It classifies the market into three states (bearish, neutral, bullish) with a calibrated softmax output.
Structural and Price Analysis
Chart Patterns: Automatic detection of Head and Shoulders, Inverted Head and Shoulders, Double Top, and Double Bottom patterns with neckline calculation and target projection.
Supply and Demand (S&R) Zones: Dynamic identification of up to 10 support/resistance levels based on a minimum number of touches, with entries on bounces and confirmed breakouts.
Price Action: Recognition of Harami, Tweezer Top/Bottom, and Marubozu candlesticks with filters for body size and pip tolerance.
Advanced Quantitative Analysis
Predictive VWAP — Calculates the Volume Weighted Average Price of the active session and projects its future direction using linear regression, displaying the forecast on the chart.
Volume Profile — Builds a volume profile over the last N bars, automatically identifying the Point of Control (POC), High Volume Nodes (HVN), Low Volume Nodes (LVN), High Value Area, and Low Value Area.
Fibonacci Extension 127.2% / 141.4% / 161.8% — Detects the relevant swing for the period and projects Fibonacci extension targets, which are also used as dynamic Take Profit levels in high-confluence signals.
Harmonic Volatility Pattern (HVP) — Identifies volatility compression (squeeze) followed by ATR expansion to anticipate explosive movements in the price of gold, with a post-squeeze confidence multiplier.
Risk Management and Optimal Sizing
HRP (Hierarchical Risk Parity) — Assigns weights to each system signal (BiLSTM, Logistic Regression, S&R) inversely proportional to its variance and correlation, following the hierarchical risk parity methodology used in institutional funds.
HJB Continuous Kelly (Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman) — Calculates the optimal Kelly fraction adjusted for risk aversion, estimating market drift and historical volatility to determine the lot size multiplier for each trade.
Risk Management Modes: Fixed lot size, percentage of balance, or dynamic percentage of equity. Includes daily loss limit, maximum open positions, total volume control, margin usage limit, and minimum free margin verification.
Position Protection: Adaptive Trailing Stop, automatic Break-Even, and maximum spread filter.
Institutional Visual Panel
