What's New in V5.1 (May 2026): Backtest with News Filter
Until now, backtesting Bitcoin strategies with a news filter was not possible, because the MT5 Strategy Tester does not provide access to the Economic Calendar. As a result, news events were ignored during backtest.
V5.1 adds an integrated CSV News Builder accessible from the dashboard:
- Open the popup with the CSV button on the dashboard
- Choose the date range, with quick presets (1Y, 2Y, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y)
- Filter by HIGH and MEDIUM impact news
- Generate the news history file with one click
- From that moment, every Strategy Tester run applies the news filter, the same way it works in live trading
V5.1 also improves the trailing stop module:
- Resolved Invalid stops rejections by validating the broker stops level
- Reduced Market closed log messages during low-liquidity periods
- Smart cancel logic for pending orders with tight stop levels
The trading logic, signals, lot sizing and entry rules are unchanged from V5.0.

Read Before Purchasing
This EA depends heavily on your broker. Each broker has different execution conditions, server configuration and price feed, especially for cryptocurrency CFDs. The same settings can behave very differently on different brokers.
Before buying:
- Download the free demo version and test it with your broker data
- For a realistic backtest, use the V5.1 CSV News Builder to include news events
- Compare results across timeframes and date ranges
- If the backtest results are poor with your broker, this EA is not suitable for you
After purchasing:
- Run on a demo account for at least 2 to 4 weeks before going live
- Do not expect backtest results to match live execution exactly
- Adjust risk parameters based on your account size and risk tolerance
From my own testing across several brokers, Vantage Markets gave the most consistent results on BTCUSD. Results may differ with other brokers.
