What's New in V5.1 (May 2026): Backtest with News Filter


Until now, backtesting Bitcoin strategies with a news filter was not possible, because the MT5 Strategy Tester does not provide access to the Economic Calendar. As a result, news events were ignored during backtest.


V5.1 adds an integrated CSV News Builder accessible from the dashboard:


- Open the popup with the CSV button on the dashboard

- Choose the date range, with quick presets (1Y, 2Y, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y)

- Filter by HIGH and MEDIUM impact news

- Generate the news history file with one click

- From that moment, every Strategy Tester run applies the news filter, the same way it works in live trading


V5.1 also improves the trailing stop module:


- Resolved Invalid stops rejections by validating the broker stops level

- Reduced Market closed log messages during low-liquidity periods

- Smart cancel logic for pending orders with tight stop levels


The trading logic, signals, lot sizing and entry rules are unchanged from V5.0.

Read Before Purchasing


This EA depends heavily on your broker. Each broker has different execution conditions, server configuration and price feed, especially for cryptocurrency CFDs. The same settings can behave very differently on different brokers.


Before buying:


- Download the free demo version and test it with your broker data

- For a realistic backtest, use the V5.1 CSV News Builder to include news events

- Compare results across timeframes and date ranges

- If the backtest results are poor with your broker, this EA is not suitable for you


After purchasing:


- Run on a demo account for at least 2 to 4 weeks before going live

- Do not expect backtest results to match live execution exactly

- Adjust risk parameters based on your account size and risk tolerance


From my own testing across several brokers, Vantage Markets gave the most consistent results on BTCUSD. Results may differ with other brokers.

Don’t buy !!!


I tested this EA in all ways possible before buying it.
 I downloaded the demo version and did my back tests for a full year and even found optimal settings. Both with standard and optimal settings it was (very) profitable. I followed the signal for a month on a live (real money) account and it was profitable. I bought and installed the bot on a demo account at the same broker as the signal is running (and my live account) and it ran profitable.
But as soon as I had connected this paid bot to my live account (the one used with the signal as well) it started to print loss after loss after loss. A few times in between some wins, but nothing that took it out of drawdown. I even paused it several times to wait for better times with Bitcoin for the bot, but they didn’t come. Every time I ran it (through Hyonix’ New York VPS) it started to print more losses. The delay is max 70ms there, so nothing too bad (0.07seconds only).
All the while I was losing money with this bot and also paying for the VPS, the published results of the signal were green, so I should have had profits, but I hadn’t. 
I asked for help but never got a good answer. Some generic info and some screenshots of the trading panel.

I asked money back for the bot so I can follow the signal again (because in the world I see no reason to pay for a product that does damage to my finances while it’s supposed to elevate them - it’s like paying for a car with anti collision system that draws the car to the ongoing traffic and causes crashes), but he had no answer to that other than that it was not possible. Now I know there are ways to pay each other, so he should come with a decent solution. I prefer following the signal (or not when I like) but not pay big cash for a bot that causes harm to your funds. This joke surely cost me 1000€ if not more.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review, and I'm sorry the experience on your live account was frustrating — a drawdown with real money is never easy, and I take your feedback seriously. Let me answer openly, because these points matter for anyone reading: 1. Transparency. The signal is public and verified by MQL5 — nothing is hidden, including the difficult recent months. BTC has been in a heavy market-wide drawdown since around April 2026 (May alone was roughly -20%), and the signal shows those red months openly. The overall growth is positive thanks to the earlier period (the signal reached about +300% before retracing with the market), but the recent losses are published, not concealed. Anyone following the signal in that window saw the same red. 2. Demo/signal vs. live. You clearly did your homework, and I respect that. The hard truth about live BTCUSD is that real fills, spread and slippage differ from demo — even at the same broker — and for a breakout strategy that difference lands directly on the entries. Equally important is when the bot is connected: starting right as a drawdown begins will show losses first, even when the long-term expectancy is positive. This kind of system must be judged over many months, not weeks. 3. Risk. The EA lets you control risk, and on a smaller account the default can be too aggressive, which makes a normal drawdown look catastrophic. Lowering the risk to fit your balance changes the experience a lot. 4. Refund. Refunds are governed by MQL5's platform policy, not by me — the Market simply has no refund mechanism, so it's genuinely out of my hands. I don't want to leave you without help. Please message me and we'll compare your broker, spread and settings against the signal for the same period, and set the risk correctly for your account. My goal is for the EA to work for you.
