Smart Pivot Point

Smart Pivot Point is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4

that uses classical pivot-point analysis to identify potential trading areas around calculated support and resistance levels.

The EA combines pivot levels with technical confirmation and configurable risk-management rules. It is intended for traders who want to automate a systematic pivot-based trading approach rather than manually calculate and monitor pivot levels.

Pivot Point Methods

The EA supports several commonly used pivot calculation methods:

  • Standard (Classic)
  • Fibonacci
  • Camarilla
  • Woodie's

Each method calculates its pivot, support and resistance levels differently. Users can select the method appropriate to the strategy they want to test.

Trading Approach

The EA calculates the relevant pivot structure and monitors price behavior around these levels. Trades are opened only when the configured entry conditions and technical filters are satisfied.

The purpose of the additional filters is to reduce entries based solely on price touching a pivot level. Position management and risk parameters can be configured through the EA inputs.

Pivot levels represent calculated reference areas and do not guarantee that price will reverse or continue from a particular level. Breakouts, gaps, news events, spread changes and slippage can affect execution and trading results.
