Automated & Semi-Automated Chart Line Trading System

1. Introduction to LineTrader PRO

Welcome to the LineTrader PRO V6.0 user manual. This Expert Advisor (EA) is a comprehensive visual

trading tool that executes and manages trades based on horizontal and trend lines drawn directly on your MT5

chart. It allows both full automation and semi-automated control through advanced hotkeys, trailing stops, and

break-even functionalities.

1.1 Core Line Triggers (How to Trade)

The EA operates by scanning the chart for specific keywords in the Description of horizontal lines or trend

lines. Below are the primary triggers:

BOT (Buy On Touch): Triggers a BUY order when the price (Ask) crosses the line.

SOT (Sell On Touch): Triggers a SELL order when the price (Bid) crosses the line.

BOF (Buy Fakeout): Waits for the price to drop below the line by a specified Fakeout Points distance,

becomes [READY], and triggers a BUY when the price crosses back up.

SOF (Sell Fakeout): Waits for the price to rise above the line, becomes [READY], and triggers a SELL

when the price crosses back down.

1.2 Early Close Actions

You can also use lines to automatically close positions when the price hits them:

CAO (Close All Orders): Closes both Buy and Sell positions.

CAB (Close All Buys): Closes only Buy positions.

CAS (Close All Sells): Closes only Sell positions.

2. Input Settings & Parameters

2.1 Trading Settings

Parameter Description

Position Lot Size The fixed lot size used for triggered positions.

Global SL and TP calculated based on the USD amount provided.

Candle Close

Timeframe

The timeframe used to evaluate candle closures (defaults to Current).

Candle Close Loss

Buffer (USD)

If a candle closes against your position resulting in a loss greater than this USD

buffer, the trade exits.

Daily Profit/Loss

Limit (USD)

Sets a hard stop for the day. If net profit hits the Profit Limit or drops to the Loss

Limit, all trades close and the EA pauses until the next day.

2.2 Auto Pending Order & Fakeout

If Auto Pending Order is enabled, the EA can automatically create a BOF (Buy Fakeout) or SOF (Sell

Fakeout) line at the candle's wick when a position is closed due to a negative candle close.

Max Pending Orders: Limits the number of automated lines the EA can generate.

Fakeout Points: The distance in points the price must travel past a BOF/SOF line to arm it (status becomes

[READY]).

2.3 Break Even (BE) Settings

LineTrader PRO features highly customizable Break Even logic:

BE Method: Choose between Single (one trigger) or Multiple (up to 5 tiered levels).

Trigger & Lock (USD): In Multiple mode, you can set up to 5 stages (e.g., Trigger at $10 profit to Lock

$2, Trigger at $20 to lock $5, etc.).

Time Delay (Minutes) & Hybrid Mode: Ensures the EA waits a minimum number of minutes before

moving to BE. Hybrid Mode requires both the time delay and the profit trigger to be met.

On Candle Close: Automatically shifts to BE on the closure of the entry candle.

Set TP to BE: Automatically moves the Take Profit of "worse" grid entries to a Break Even level (plus a

designated lock amount in USD).

2.4 Trailing Stop Systems

The EA offers two distinct trailing stop mechanisms:

Basic Trailing Stop: Based strictly on Pips. Requires a Start (Pips), Trailing distance (Pips), and Step

(Pips).

Trailing Stop H/L: A smarter trailing stop that places the SL behind recent Swing Highs (for Sells) or

Swing Lows (for Buys). You specify the Bars Number to define a swing, which H/L to use (Back

parameter), and an Offset in Pips.

2.5 Entry, Reentry & Delay

To prevent immediate false triggers, you can set an Entry Delay (Secs) (time lapse after a new candle) and a

Touch Delay (Secs) (time lapse after price touches the line). You can also enable Reentries and specify the

maximum number of times a single line can be reused for a trade.

3. Alerts & Dashboard

3.1 Custom & Auto Alerts

You can create horizontal lines and name them HC ALERT (High Close) or LC ALERT (Low Close). The EA

will send a push notification to your mobile device if a candle closes past these lines, factoring in the Alert

Buffer Pips.

Auto H/L Alerts: When activated, the EA automatically tracks the highs and lows of the last X bars (defined

by Auto H/L Bars). If the price closes beyond these extremes (with a minimum distance threshold), you

receive an alert. You can restrict these auto-alerts to operate only during three specific time sessions (Session

1, 2, and 3).

3.2 Visual Dashboard

The on-chart dashboard provides real-time information:

You can customize the dashboard text color and font size. If you open an order manually on the MT5 Mobile

App (Magic Number 0), you can enable Takeover Mobile, allowing the EA to automatically assign your Global

SL and TP to those trades.

4. Hotkeys Reference

LineTrader PRO includes 22 customizable hotkeys for rapid chart management. If the default keys conflict with

your layout, you can change them in the settings.
