One shot. One target. Zero recovery.
GoldenShot is a single-position gold EA built for controlled, long-term trading. It waits for a qualified setup, takes one clean shot with a real stop loss, and if the idea does not work, it manages the trade instead of rescuing it.
No grid. No martingale. No lot scaling. Each strategy carries its own stop distance, target, and trailing profile, and a failing trade can be cut short well before the full stop when the market shows it is failing.
This is an honest EA: no fake AI, no manipulated back-tests, no hidden recovery layers. If you want proof of how I work, look at my other EA - the same live signal since its first day, developed continuously from the first release to today.
No signal tricks, no resets. Just the same account, every week.
Gold is fast, violent, and unforgiving. GoldenShot treats it accordingly: wait, qualify, strike once, protect the result. Then do it again.
What Makes GoldenShot Different
Tired of the same breakout EAs? Single-position gold EAs are everywhere right now, and if you look closely at the top sellers you will find the same machine under different paint: pending orders parked at the same obvious support and resistance levels everyone can see.
When hundreds of copies of the same EA stack orders on the same price, you get crowded fills, worse slippage, and stop hunts through the exact level you are resting on.
GoldenShot does not park pending orders at those shared levels. Each of its strategies reads its own market structure - momentum, volatility, candle behavior, structural shifts - and enters at market only when its own conditions are met. Your entry fingerprint is your own, not the crowd's.
There is a second thing most of those listings have in common: a back-test that looks impressive from 2018 and struggles in the one period that matters, 2025 to today. Gold does not trade the way it did in 2019. GoldenShot was built, tested, and tuned on the market as it is now - real ticks, seven broker feeds, 2025 to the current day. If a strategy cannot hold up in this period, it does not ship.
What You See Is What You Get
Here is a detail most back-tests quietly hide. The Strategy Tester has no economic calendar, so in a back-test an EA trades straight through CPI, NFP and FOMC as if they were ordinary minutes. Those are exactly the minutes where live execution is at its worst: spreads blow out, quotes jump, and fills land far from the requested price. Slippage emulation does not capture it, because the tester still fills you at a price that actually existed. Many listings are built on this. The report is beautiful precisely because it contains the trades that pay best on paper and worst in a live account.
GoldenShot is built the other way round. Its trading windows are drawn around the New York data-release slot where most market-moving numbers land, and they skip the rollover and the thin late session where spreads are widest. Those windows apply in the back-test exactly as they do live, so the report you run has already sat out the release minutes. Live, the news filter then widens that to an hour on each side of every high-impact event and adds the USD bank holidays - a margin the tester cannot reproduce, which means the live EA is a touch more selective than the report, never less. What you tested is what you get.
And entries are only half the story. GoldenShot is built to be different where it matters most: how it gets in, and how it gets out when a trade stops making sense.
Stops Managed by Invalidation, Not by Hope
A fixed stop loss answers one question: "how much am I willing to lose?" It says nothing about whether the trade idea is still alive. That is why short-stop EAs bleed through losing streaks - the market invalidates the setup long before price walks the full distance to the stop, and the EA just sits there waiting to take the maximum loss.
GoldenShot attacks this in two places.
Before the order. Every signal passes through a validation layer that checks it against failure structures measured in real trading history - a bounce inside a collapsing move, a stall after an overextended day, a continuation that has already run out of road. If the signal matches one, no order is sent. In back-testing across four broker feeds, this check cut full-stop losses from 32 to 9 while skipping fewer than one entry in a hundred.
After the fill. The pullback strategy additionally watches for a specific rapid failure shortly after entry. When several closed-candle signals agree that the move has turned against the trade, it asks the broker for a tighter stop and takes a small, controlled loss instead of the full one. The momentum strategy deliberately does not use this rule: in testing, its losing and recovering trades looked too similar to separate safely, so it keeps its hard stop and trailing profile rather than pretend otherwise.
A full stop loss can still happen. The difference is that GoldenShot treats it as the exception it works to avoid, not as a routine cost of doing business.
The broker-side stop loss stays on every trade as the disaster backstop, protected by hardened stop-management logic. Every protective change is a confirmed broker-side stop modification - there is no hidden market close - and the original stop remains in force until the broker confirms the tighter one. It is the seatbelt, not the exit plan.
Two Strategies at Launch. Each One Tested based on Its Own Evidence.
Most single-position gold EAs launch with exactly one strategy and one market condition they can survive. GoldenShot launches with two, each selected and tuned separately in single-position mode across independent broker feeds:
- Strategy 1 - Pullback: Waits for price to pull back into a short-term support or resistance area and to show a genuine rebound, confirmed by trend strength, momentum, and candle structure before entering. Higher frequency, tighter management, and the only strategy carrying the post-entry rapid-failure protection.
- Strategy 2 - Momentum: Looks for a fresh directional move backed by expanding volatility and healthy trend strength, and joins the continuation while structure holds. Fewer trades and a wider trailing profile, with its own guards against late and exhausted entries.
Both strategies trade BUY and SELL, and each direction has been validated separately. You can restrict the EA to BUY only or SELL only, switch either strategy off, and every trade is tagged with the strategy that opened it - on the chart, in the dashboard, and in the trade comment.
Only one GoldenShot position exists at any time. Whichever strategy qualifies first owns the trade until it closes, followed by a short cooldown before the next entry. There is no stacking, no hedging against yourself, and no second position quietly opened behind the first.
More strategies are planned. Each one will be added as a free update only after it passes the same single-position, cross-broker screen.
A Mature Platform, Not a Prototype
GoldenShot is not a first attempt. It is built on the same trading platform I have been developing, hardening, and updating for more than a year, with thousands of tested positions across seven independent broker feeds:
- Advanced news protection - new entries pause around high-impact events (CPI, FOMC, NFP) and on USD bank holidays, while open positions continue to be managed normally. Two news sources are built in, Forex Factory and the MQL5 calendar; if one is unavailable, the EA falls back to the other.
- Hardened stop handling - broker-confirmed stop modifications with reconciliation, built so a position is never left unprotected.
- Three-digit gold brokers supported - the EA resolves each broker's price geometry automatically, including three-decimal gold quotes (Exness-style), so distances mean what you set on every broker.
- Session-aware execution - spread gating and order handling that never fires impossible requests into a closed or unhealthy market.
- Position sizing from the real stop - choose a fixed lot, or a percentage of your account per trade. The percentage is calculated from the trade's actual stop distance, not a guess, and decimal values are supported. If the result is below your broker's minimum lot, you decide whether to use that minimum or skip the trade.
- Trailing stop - locks in profit once a trade moves in your favor, step by step, confirmed at the broker.
- Time management - multiple Monday to Thursday trading windows, a separate Friday schedule, and a Christmas holiday pause, with automatic daylight-saving adjustment.
- Black and gold dashboard - optional panel showing your sizing and protection settings, daily and closed results per strategy, drawdown, news state, and the open trade with its live stop and profit target.
What GoldenShot Will Never Do
- No grid. No martingale. No averaging down.
- No trade without a broker-side stop loss.
- No pending orders resting at the same levels as every other EA on this page.
- No hidden "recovery" that turns one bad entry into ten.
- No signal tricks: no deposit games, no reset accounts, no broker chosen to flatter the curve.
Trading Recommendations
Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold)
Time frame: any (strategies use internal time frames)
Minimum Deposit: 100 USD with a fixed 0.01 lot

Set It Up in Five Minutes
GoldenShot ships with the tested settings already in place. There is nothing to tune before the first run:
1. Allow trading. In MT5 open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick Allow algorithmic trading, and add https://nfs.faireconomy.media/ to the WebRequest list so the news filter can read the calendar. Restart MT5 once.
2. Attach it. Drag GoldenShot onto your broker's Gold chart. Any timeframe is fine - the strategies use their own.
3. Pick your size. Leave Risk Per Trade at 1%, or switch to a fixed lot. That is the only decision you need to make on day one.
4. Read the header. When the dashboard shows [RUNNING] in green, GoldenShot is waiting for its setup. Any other text tells you exactly what is holding entries back: trading hours, news, cooldown, or a daily limit you set.
5. Trade with the market open. Keep MT5 connected, ideally on a VPS. The stop loss and take profit live at your broker; the trailing and protection need the terminal online.
Prop-firm account? Turn on Daily DD Protection, set the limit a little below your firm's rule, and optionally cap Max Losing Trades Per Day. Everything else stays on the defaults.
DISCLAIMER: Trading foreign exchange and CFDs carries a high level of risk. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Always test on a demo account first and start with conservative lot sizes. GoldenShot is a professional tool for traders who understand risk management.
