Gold Session Portfolio is a free Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) that runs five independent intraday strategies from one chart. Each strategy is built around the trading sessions: the start of the trading day, the London session and the New York open. Every trade has a stop loss. There is no martingale, no grid and no averaging down. Each strategy has its own magic number, so you can see exactly which one opened a trade.

THE FIVE STRATEGIES

Range Retest: measures the first 4 hours of the trading day (from 18:00 New York time). When the price closes outside this range, it places a limit order back at the range edge, with the stop on the other side of the range.
H1 Trend Breakout: measures the first hour of the trading day and trades a close outside it only in the direction of the daily trend. The stop is in the middle of the range. Mondays and Fridays can be skipped.
New York Sweep: measures the first 15 minutes after the New York open. If an M15 candle sweeps the range against the daily trend and closes back inside, it trades back in the direction of the trend.
London Sweep: takes the high and low of the London session. If New York sweeps that level against the daily trend and closes back inside, it trades in the direction of the trend, with the target at the other side of the London range.
Liquidity Pullback: looks for a large H1 candle against the H4 trend, followed by a confirmation candle. It then trades in the direction of the trend with the stop beyond the large candle.

EXITS AND TWO TAKE PROFITS

Each strategy has a fixed take profit in R (multiples of the risk) and a time exit. The New York and London trades are closed before the end of the New York session.
Two take profits for Range Retest and H1 Trend Breakout: at 1R half of the position is closed and the stop moves to break-even. The rest runs to the second target (2R by default).
These two strategies open twice the normal lot, so that each half equals one normal position. You can switch this off for each strategy.

POSITION SIZE AND RISK

The lot grows with the account: 0.01 lot per 500 of balance by default, or a fixed lot.
A maximum risk per trade in percent of equity (3 percent by default) reduces the lot when the stop is wide.
A trade is skipped if even the smallest lot would risk more than the set limit. The lot is halved while the account is more than 10 percent below its equity peak.
Spread filter, check that the market is open, free margin check and broker stop level check before every order.

BROKER TIME

Session times are calculated from New York time. Set the difference between your broker's server time and New York time. For most brokers on GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer this is 7 hours (the default).
The panel on the chart shows the symbol, the server offset, the state of each strategy, today's result and the open profit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Gold Session Portfolio limits the risk of each trade but cannot guarantee any result. All strategies have losing days and losing streaks.
Strategy Tester results depend on the broker's data, spread and settings and are not a promise of live results. Always test on a demo account first.
The EA works only while the terminal, the computer and the connection are running. Slippage, gaps and spread changes can make live results differ.
You are responsible for your trading decisions, settings and any losses. The developer is not responsible for losses.

SETUP

Attach the EA to one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe, M5 recommended) and enable Algo Trading.
Check the server time offset, the lot per balance and the maximum risk per trade.
Use a different magic base for a second copy. Support: questions are answered within 48 hours and feedback is always welcome.

KEY SETTINGS

Strategies - switch each of the five strategies on or off.
Broker time - difference between server time and New York time.
Position size - lot per balance or fixed lot, maximum risk per trade, minimum lot risk limit, drawdown lot cut.
Two take profits - on or off for Range Retest and H1 Trend Breakout, second target in R, lot multiplier.
Strategy settings - Monday and Friday filter, London sweep candle and target, New York and Liquidity Pullback targets, maximum spread.
Other - magic base, panel on or off, panel color.

NOTES

Made for gold (XAUUSD). One position per strategy at a time.
Hedging accounts are recommended, because several strategies can hold positions at the same time.
