Prop Account Shield protects your whole MetaTrader 5 account from breaking the rules of a prop firm challenge or funded account. Attach it to one chart: it watches every position of the account, whatever opens it (manual trading, other EAs, the mobile app), on every symbol and magic number. It never opens trades: it monitors, warns and closes.
1. Loss limits (whole account)
- Max daily loss (% or money), measured from the balance, the equity or the higher of the two at the start of the day
- Daily reset at the time of your firm, with a time shift from the server clock
- Max drawdown: static, or trailing from the highest equity or balance, with an optional lock level (for example at the initial balance)
- Real-time equity: all open positions on all symbols, swap and commission (optional estimate of the closing commission)
- Safety buffer: the Shield acts before the firm's limit (for example at 4.5% for a 5% limit)
2. When a limit is hit
- Closes every position, the biggest loss first, and deletes every pending order
- Immediate retries on requotes, off quotes, price changes and rejects, with a clear log
- Blocked mode until the reset: any new position (manual, EA, mobile) is closed right after it opens, any new pending order is deleted
- Hedging and netting accounts (on netting, only the added volume is closed)
3. Trading rules (each one optional)
- Daily profit target: close everything and stop for the day
- Max trades per day
- Pause after N losing trades in a row (minutes or until the reset)
- Max lot per position and max total exposure (lots or risk to the stops): close or warn
- Weekend close on Friday at your time
- Allowed trading hours
- Exclusions by magic number or symbol for the trading rules
4. Challenge tracking
- Progress to the profit target, trading days done / required, best day against a consistency rule
- Calculated from the whole account history, not only since the EA started
- Overall status: on track / attention / violated / target reached
5. Dashboard and alerts
- Compact panel: day P/L, daily loss left, room to the max drawdown, time to the reset, every active rule
- Green / yellow (70%) / red (90%) for every limit
- Pop-up, sound and push notification at 70%, 90% and on a breach (each one optional)
- Event log in the panel and in a file (MQL5\Files\PropAccountShield)
- Movable, minimizable, dark and light theme, HiDPI scaling
6. Reliability
- Checks on every tick and every 250 ms, also on symbols without ticks
- Day start, peaks and blocks kept after terminal restarts, timeframe changes and re-attaching
- A second copy on the same account is detected and only monitors
- Presets (2-Step, 1-Step, Funded) as starting values; no DLL, no web requests
Strategy Tester
- In the tester only, the Shield opens test positions on the tested symbol, each risking a set share of the balance, so you can see the limits being hit, the positions closed and the account blocked. This never happens on a live or demo account.
Important: no EA can stop other programs, the mobile app or manual trading from sending orders; the Shield closes them right after they are filled. On fast markets or gaps the price can go beyond the level it acted at: that is what the buffer is for. Rules differ between firms and change: check your firm's exact rules and set the inputs accordingly. The presets use generic names.
