Broker and Data Feed Sensitivity
This Expert Advisor is a high-frequency scalper and is extremely sensitive to tick data, spread, and execution speed. It was developed and optimized specifically using IC Markets data feeds. To achieve execution and performance that closely aligns with the provided backtest results, it is necessary to use an IC Markets Raw Spread account. Using a different broker with varying data feeds, wider spreads, or higher latency will negatively impact the system's intended logic.
Machinegun Breakout Scalper is an automated trading system designed specifically for the XAUUSD (Gold) symbol. It operates as a short-term breakout scalping system using dynamic price channels to identify potential market entries. The internal logic is built for rapid execution, monitoring tick velocity and short-term volatility to capitalize on rapid price movements.
This free version runs on the exact same core engine as the Pro version — the breakout channel logic, the ADX/tick-volume filters, the adaptive trailing stop, and the strict Stop Loss / Take Profit protection are all fully active. It is a genuine way to evaluate the system's execution quality live, with two deliberate limitations described below.
This system applies strict risk management. It does not use grid, martingale, cost-averaging, or multiple-order recovery hedging techniques. Every single position is protected by a hard Stop Loss and Take Profit from the moment of entry.
Free Version Scope
- Runs Engine D (Filtered Momentum) only. Engines A (Tight Momentum), B (Wide Runner Breakout), and C (Swing Breakout) are included in the Pro version.
- Lot size is fixed at 0.01 on every trade. Risk Percent and Risk Per Balance sizing modes are Pro-only features.
- All execution safety systems (spread filter, time filter, slippage compensator, Friday purge) are fully enabled.

- Friday Purge: Automatically cancels pending virtual setups on Friday evenings to avoid holding risk over the weekend.
