Stack Locking Trade System is a systematic MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed around a structured trend-following, sequential stacking, and position-locking framework.
Instead of opening multiple positions simultaneously or relying on traditional grid averaging, the EA uses a controlled ladder approach: a new position can only be added after the previous active position has satisfied the system's locking conditions.
The result is a disciplined trading architecture designed to control how positions are accumulated during a directional market move.
CORE SYSTEM
The Stack Locking Trade System uses the 50 EMA / 200 EMA relationship as its primary directional gatekeeper.
BUY Environment
The EA looks for a bullish market structure where:

50 EMA is above the 200 EMA.

A qualifying candle closes above the 50 EMA.

A Buy Stop is positioned above the qualifying candle's high.

The position is activated only if price breaks the defined trigger level.
SELL Environment
The EA looks for a bearish market structure where:

The EA does not intentionally open trades against the active EMA direction.
THE STACKING ENGINEThe defining feature of this EA is its sequential stacking mechanism.
The EA does not simply open Position 1, Position 2, Position 3 and so on immediately.
Instead:
Position → Lock → Next Setup → Position → Lock → Next Setup
For example:

Wait for the next valid setup

And the process continues while the market satisfies the system's conditions and the maximum position limit has not been reached.

POSITION LOCKING MECHANISMThe locking mechanism is the heart of the system.
A position is not considered locked simply because price temporarily moves into profit.
The EA requires confirmation.
BUY POSITION
A BUY position must:

Reach the configured minimum profit threshold.

Have a completed candle close above that specific position's entry price.
Only when the required conditions have been satisfied does the EA transition the position into its protected state.
SELL POSITION
A SELL position must:

Reach the configured minimum profit threshold.

Have a completed candle close below that specific position's entry price.
This means the system does not rely solely on a temporary price spike or intrabar wick.
The completed-candle confirmation provides an additional layer of validation before the position is considered locked.
NO INITIAL STOP LOSS ON NORMAL STACK POSITIONSA key architectural feature of the system is that normal cycle positions are not opened with a traditional initial stop loss.
Instead, the strategy relies on its sequential locking mechanism.
The EA therefore follows the principle:
Do not add another position until the current position has successfully passed the locking process.
Once the position becomes locked, the EA applies its protective mechanism according to the configured locking rules.
This architecture is fundamentally different from conventional systems where every position immediately receives a fixed stop loss.
THE SURVIVOR MECHANISMWhen the EMA trend officially reverses, the EA separates previously protected positions from the remaining unlocked position.
Locked Positions
Previously locked positions from the old directional cycle can be closed when the reversal is confirmed, allowing the system to realize the accumulated result of that completed stack.
Unlocked Position
If an unlocked position remains from the previous direction, the EA can maintain one survivor position.
This survivor is treated differently from normal stack positions.
The survivor receives the system's configured fixed-dollar emergency stop-loss protection.
Therefore:
Normal stack positions → locking mechanism
Reversal survivor → emergency fixed-dollar SL
This distinction is an important part of the EA's risk architecture.
EMA REVERSAL MANAGEMENTWhen the 50/200 EMA direction changes on a confirmed closed candle, the EA performs a controlled transition.
The system can:

A configurable safety multiplier can be used to require additional free-margin capacity before allowing another position to be added.
This is particularly important when the stacking system is operating with multiple positions.
POSITION LIMITThe EA supports a configurable maximum number of positions.
For example:
MaxPositions = 50
The EA will stop adding new positions once the configured maximum is reached.
Existing positions continue to be managed according to the system rules.
This prevents uncontrolled expansion of the position stack.
FIXED LOT SIZE PER CYCLEThe EA can maintain a consistent lot size throughout an individual directional cycle.
Example:
Cycle begins → 0.10 lot
Position #1 → 0.10
Position #2 → 0.10
Position #3 → 0.10
Position #4 → 0.10
The lot size can then be recalculated for a future cycle according to the configured account-scaling rules.
This keeps the stacking process predictable within each cycle.
PENDING ORDER CONTROLThe EA uses pending breakout orders rather than entering immediately at the candle close.
For BUY setups:
Trigger candle high + configured offset → Buy Stop
For SELL setups:
Trigger candle low − configured offset → Sell Stop
Pending orders can be removed when:
