Version 1.50 — October 2026 update — clearer operation and measurable recovery
A new read-only panel shows trading permissions, strategy context, positions matching this EA’s symbols and Magic identifiers, and broker volume specifications in the journal.
The recovery monitor observes whole-account equity from attachment or the latest cash-flow reset: current and maximum observed drawdown, time below the previous equity peak, the longest underwater episode (including an unfinished one), and completed recoveries.
InpDiagnosticsPanel controls the panel; InpDiagnosticsJournal controls broker diagnostics and the final recovery summary. These are observations sampled on received ticks, not a loss limit, a historical account record or an EA-only performance report. Deposits, withdrawals and detected capital adjustments reset the observation session.
Entry rules, sizing, exits and existing protections are preserved. The original inputs retain their names; review your saved settings when upgrading. Historical tables below identify the version actually tested.
From signal to position
- Breakout selection: a 50-bar Donchian channel, EMA 50/200, ADX threshold 27 and H4 trend check filter entries.
- Portfolio sizing: 1% initial-entry risk, with portfolio and per-symbol open-risk settings of 9% and 6%.
- Trend participation: up to two pyramid add-ons, with 3 ATR stops and immediate 3 ATR trailing. Partial take-profit is off by default.
- Execution filters: maximum spread 0.25%, broker-volume checks and verification of trade results.
Current-version backtests
BTCUSD + ETHUSD, H1, IC Markets (EU), USD 5,000 initial deposit, simulated leverage 1:100. Each window starts separately. Return is net profit / initial deposit; drawdown is maximum relative equity drawdown.
| Window / model | v1.40 return | Equity drawdown |
|---|---|---|
| 2020–2023 / OHLC M1 | +40.57% | 30.15% |
| 2024–4 July 2026 / OHLC M1 | +135.25% | 20.70% |
| 4 July–30 September 2026 / OHLC M1 | +10.24% | 7.61% |
| June 2026 / real-tick mode, 100 ms | +1.97% | 9.31% |
| 4 July–30 September 2026 / real-tick mode, 100 ms | +9.71% | 7.73% |
Results are mixed against v1.30: the return/drawdown balance improved in 2020–2023 and the recent OHLC window, while 2024–mid-2026 earned less without lowering drawdown. MT5 reports 90% history quality for 2020–2023. June real-tick mode generated 215 missing minutes per symbol. The comparisons informed development and are not independent forward validation. The gallery shows both versions, including periods favoring the previous release.
What changed in 1.40
New orders must fit the remaining symbol and portfolio risk budgets. Existing risk is measured from current price to stop in account currency; a missing stop blocks further allocation. The daily equity-loss guard closes this EA’s positions by default. Execution checks and restart recovery cover entries, initial stops, partial exits, pyramid counts and the daily guard. An inherited basket with an unknown add count is managed for exits without further adds until flat.
Setup in four steps
- Enter both exact broker symbol names, including suffixes. Use one H1 instance and a hedging account for the compared configuration.
- Reset to 1.50 defaults or load the matching SET. Avoid duplicate instances using the same symbols and Magic identifiers.
- Verify both symbols in the initialization log. If none is available, the EA falls back to the chart symbol. Check contract size, minimum lot, margin, costs and history.
- Run the Market demo in the Strategy Tester. After purchase, validate on a demo account before live use and keep MT5 or a VPS running.
Before you buy
Does the free demo run on a chart? No. The Market demo works in the Strategy Tester only.
Minimum balance? USD 5,000 is a test deposit, not a universal requirement; broker contracts and minimum lots matter.
How does the news filter work? It uses the terminal’s economic calendar and is inactive in the Strategy Tester.
Need help? Contact the seller through MQL5 Comments or private messages with version, symbols, settings and relevant journal lines, without account identifiers.
BTC and ETH can be highly correlated. The equity guard observes the whole account but closes this EA’s positions, so other strategies can affect it. Backtests are simulations, not live results. Leveraged CFDs can cause substantial losses; risk settings are not guaranteed loss ceilings. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
