The Double TMA with Bands – Signals Edition v4.0 technical analysis tool is built for MetaTrader 5 combining two Triangular Moving Averages (TMA) with ATR-based reversal zones to help identify trend direction and potential turning points. It includes optional indicator visualization, multiple signal types, and flexible alerting to ensure you never miss the trade!

Product Usage Disclaimers:

- In order to use Type 3 Signals, you must enable at least Type 2 Signals and Exit Signals for proper Type 3 Signal calculation.

Known Issues:

- Type 1 signals are not working
- Type 6 signals max signals limiter is not functioning
- UI issue when turning hikein ashi candles off (temporary fix - leave heikin ashi candles on in the Inputs tab and set the heikin ashi candle colors to None in the Colors tab)
- Type 6 alert is received but signal it is not shown on the graphic
- Price showed on alert is not the actual price (price shown in alert is relative to the signal graphic position on the chart)
- Signals of the indicator do not match on the real chart vs in the strategy tester (this is due to the way the indicator is calculated and is an inherent aspect of the tool)


Feature Requests:

- Make the Type 5 signal only show a sell signal when the TMA Slow is in downtrend and only show a buy signal when the TMA Slow is in uptrend
- Include the "angle of rise/fall" in the Trend Panel.

I want to congratulate the developer on this improved version. I highly recommend the signals edition of this great indicator. Well planned and structured product. Fully functional and user-friendly interface. Finally, it is an intuitive tool to track the market trend and its many opportunities of reversals. Great work. Type 5 signals do not arrive in real time, but appear on the history when the indicator is reinstalled. The developer does not respond. The strategy tester also does not match reality. However, I do not think this is a problem with the settings (all settings are default). The indicator draws as it pleases, so I do not recommend purchasing it.

Update to the review. The developer has responded, and I will continue testing

Type 5 signals do not arrive in real time, but appear on the history when the indicator is reinstalled. The developer does not respond. The strategy tester also does not match reality. However, I do not think this is a problem with the settings (all settings are default). The indicator draws as it pleases, so I do not recommend purchasing it.

Update to the review. The developer has responded, and I will continue testing

Hello mahaon2, I apologize for the delayed response - I have not been very active on here due to the holidays. If I could provide a refund I would. As for the mismatch between the strategy tester and the live chart, this is expected behavior from a TMA-based indicator. The TMA-based calculation method requires extrapolation of future bars in order to compute the TMA, without this extrapolation, the TMA would not cover the full visual range of the bars. The historical signals that are plotted to the chart are a created based on static data, however the signals created by the indicator in a live setting (or forward testing) are computed at the foremost edge of the indicator, which means that forward results may differ from pre-computed results. My recomendation is to backtest the indicator to understand how the signals and alerts are created in forward testing. Generally, the signals are accurate to their purpose in forward testing, but there will be discrepancies. These discrepancies are also affected by WHEN you apply the indicator to the chart. If you apply the indicator to the chart 01/01/2026 and leave it on the chart for the whole month, then backtest that same period at the end of the month, the forward results will be the same. If you apply the indicator to the chart in November and you start a backtest in December, the results will be different because the applied start date is different. This is a know issue with TMA-based indicators. It's always best to do your research and understand how an indicator works befor purchasing. I will investigate this further and see if I can come up with a solution, however most solutions that I have considered require a significant diversion from the baseline strategy and calculations. A potential solution is to add a "Keltner Channel" calculation option as an alternative to the default TMA calculation method, but as mentioned, this is a diversion from the baseline strategy, however, it is the closest option to providing a non-repainting solution. I will work on developing this as a feature for the next version update so you can get your money's worth.

I want to congratulate the developer on this improved version. I highly recommend the signals edition of this great indicator. Well planned and structured product. Fully functional and user-friendly interface. Finally, it is an intuitive tool to track the market trend and its many opportunities of reversals. Great work. Hope to have soon the EA version of this indicator.
