EA_Comment: you can type here a comment, if you wish to mark the Forex GOLD Investor trades.
MaxSpread: maximum allowed spread in cents.
Slippage: maximum allowed slippage in cents.
LongTrades: Enable/disable long trades (true/false).
ShortTrades: Enable/disable short trades (true/false).
AutoGMT_Offset: true/false - Change to false only if you want to use the ManualGMT_Offset in your live trading. In this case, please ensure that you have used the correct ManualGMT_Offset for your broker.
ManualGMT_Offset: For this parameter you have to set the winter GMT offset of your broker. This parameter is very important in case that you have disabled the AutoGMT_Offset=false and when you backtest the Forex GOLD Investor. If you set wrong value, then you may get unexpected results.
DST_Usage: true/false - If your broker shifts the GMT_Offset with +1 hour in the end of March and change it back in the end of October, you should set DST_Usage=true for live trading. This is important for the correct functioning of the second trading system (System2).
NFA: true/false - use "true" if your broker is NFA regulated.
No_Hedge: true/false - use "true" if you wish to cancel all hedge trades.
StealthMode: true/false - a mode which conceals stoploss and takeprofit levels in program logic, making them invisible to brokers. If you use this mode, the stoploss and takeprofit orders are not located in the trading server. In this case, if your trading terminal is not connected, or the robot is not working, your orders would not be protected. However, we are strongly encouraging using the StealthMode, because in some cases the visible StopLoss levels could be attacked tendentiously by algorithms that some unethical brokers could use.

Horrifically bad EA. Started using beginning of this week on a fresh account. Just 2% risk. Its now down 60%. Keeps opening buy after buy after buy when gold is very clearly having a down run. It's just a mindless buy bot which will only make money in bull runs.

*Update after seeing comment below. While I appreciate the reply, even using 2% risk there is a huge issue, if im risking 2% per trade, I shouldnt lose 60% of balance in 5 losing trades, I should use 10. The risk % feature clearly isnt set up like most EA's where the SL for that trade would lose 2%. I will monitor the live signal and maybe eventually give it another go, but its lost me about 2k in my own money and destroyed a darwinex account (which I ran at 0.5% risk btw! and it still managed a 20% drawdown)

This is only for the users who purchase from the official website. You say that the EA doesn't trade. I believe there is a problem. As requested by many of our users, we’ve added a new parameter to the EA’s Time Management System called DailyCloseHour.

By default, DailyCloseHour is set to -1, which means it’s inactive. To enable it, simply set a value between 0 and 23, corresponding to the hour you’d like the EA to close all open trades for the day.

For example:
If you set DailyCloseHour = 22, the EA will automatically close all open trades at 22:00 each day and will not open new trades until the next day begins.

This feature can be particularly useful in the following situations:

1. Your broker applies high swap fees for holding positions overnight.

2. Your broker pauses trading overnight, increasing the risk of price gaps upon market reopening.

If these scenarios don’t apply to your trading environment, you can leave the parameter disabled.

Please note: while this setting provides added risk management, it may occasionally close trades prematurely, resulting in small losses. We strongly recommend testing this parameter in the Strategy Tester before using it on a live account to ensure it aligns with your trading goals.

This new release includes major improvements to ensure smoother, more reliable trading and better compatibility with all types of accounts and platforms.

Here’s what’s new in v1.99:

1. Brand-new Auto GMT system for accurate time sync

We have completely rebuilt the Auto GMT system from the ground up. It now accurately detects the GMT offset of your broker, regardless of the time zone. The only setting users need to configure is the DST_Usage parameter, which offers three options:

- DST None – Select this if your broker does not switch between summer and winter time.

- EU DST – Select this if your broker follows European Daylight Saving Time (from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October).

- US DST – Select this if your broker follows U.S. Daylight Saving Time (from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November).

Once the correct DST setting is selected, the EA will handle the rest automatically.

Auto GMT works only if our website url is added on your terminal "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" configuration.

2. New Protection Parameter: Maximum Losing Trades Per Day

To enhance risk control and compatibility with funded trading programs (e.g., FTMO, prop firms), we’ve added a new protection feature:

Maximum Losing Trades Per Day – This parameter sets a daily limit on losing trades.

For example, if set to 2, the EA will monitor all closed trades and stop opening new trades for the rest of the day once 2 losses are detected (resetting at the defined daily reset hour).

We recommend testing different values (e.g., 2–4) in backtests to find the ideal setting for your strategy and risk tolerance.

We are excited to announce the release of Forex Gold Investor 1.98, which introduces a powerful new randomization system designed to enhance trading flexibility and reduce correlation risks for traders using proprietary trading firms, funded accounts, FTMO, and similar platforms.
With this update, we have integrated randomized entry and exit parameters, allowing traders to customize trade execution times and price levels dynamically. This innovation ensures that every user gets unique trade entries and exits, eliminating the risk of pattern detection and trade duplication in prop firm environments.

New parameters added in the EA:

- RandomizeExit: true/false – Set to true or false to enable or disable the randomization of the exit system (Stop Loss and Take Profit).
- StopLossRange: The default value is 50! Defines the allowed range (in points) for randomizing the Stop Loss value. The default setting of 50 points means the Stop Loss can vary randomly within ±50 points from the original value.
- TakeProfitRange: The default value is 50! Defines the allowed range (in points) for randomizing the Take Profit value. The default setting of 50 points means the Take Profit can vary randomly within ±50 points from the original value.
- RandomizeEntry: true/false – Set to true or false to enable or disable the randomization of the entry system (trade open price and open time).
- OpenTimeMaxDelay: The default value is 60 seconds! Defines the maximum delay (in seconds) for opening a trade. The default setting of 60 seconds means that the trade's opening time will be randomly delayed by up to 60 seconds.
- OpenPriceMinDeviation: The default value is 5 points! Sets the minimum deviation (in points) of the open price from the original price when entry randomization is enabled.
- OpenPriceMaxDeviation: The default value is 100 points! Sets the maximum deviation (in points) of the open price from the original price when entry randomization is enabled.

- Maximum open trades: Set a limit on the number of trades opened simultaneously by the EA. For example, if you set this to "2," the EA will open a maximum of two trades at a time.

- Maximum open trades (account): This parameter limits the total number of trades across your entire account. If the total trades on the account reach or exceed this value, the EA will not open a new trade. This includes all trades, not just those opened by the EA.

These features ensure you have full control over the number of trades in play, optimizing your risk management. We highly recommend updating to the latest version to take advantage of these enhancements!

New updated version with drawdown protection functions. In the new updated version (v1.94) we’ve integrated variety of protections as follows:

1. Max daily loss (currency)
2. Max daily drawdown %
3. Min Equity (currency)
4. Max Equity drawdown %
5. Max Equity (currency)
6. Loss pause (hours)

The values of the protections can be edited in the EA inputs and also in the new Protection panel shown on the chart.
The default values (0.00) mean that the respective protection is not active.
Some traders need such protections in “Prop Firm” challenges.
We will refrain from recommending specific values. However Max daily drawdown %=4-6 shows reasonable results decreasing the drawdown and increasing the Recovery Factor in the last several months.
We are obliged to inform you, that using such protections could decrease the overall profit in long-term.
Each trader must decide for himself whether to use these protections and at what values.

I have added a Time Management System in this version. Thanks to the Time Management System you can configure the EA to trade only on the best hours. It is not necessary to use the Time Management System - it is developed by request of my users. Even without the Time Management System Forex Gold Investor is profitable.
