GodTier Phalanx AI is an Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD, M15) on MetaTrader 5 that runs five engines on one chart: the GodTier AI, with an LSTM network and an XGBoost model built in, and four rule-based strategies: Pivot Level Stops (PLS), the Daily Range Breakout (DRB), the Swing Level Breakout (SLB) and the Swing Pivot Breakout (SPB, new in version 1.01).
Every engine places a stop-loss with each trade, has its own magic number and its own on/off switch. One setting, Risk / lot size, sizes them all: Auto by balance (default since 1.05), risk % per trade, a named profile (Low, Moderate, Medium, High) of 0.01 lot per a balance step, or a fixed lot. A risk meter shows how far these lots fell in the tests, as a share of your balance. An account stop closes everything if equity falls a set percentage below its peak (30 % by default). Lots never grow after a loss: no martingale and no averaging down.
How it works
Five engines trade side by side; each can be switched off on its own, and each keeps to its own magic number.
- AI (magic 911001): one position at a time from two models, an LSTM network and an XGBoost model, that score each M15 bar, with session, spread and trend filters. Exits: ATR stop-loss and take-profit, partial closes, trailing, a drawdown defender and a daily loss limit.
- Pivot Level Stops, PLS (magic 911011-911018): stop orders resting at swing levels of D1, H4 and H1 inside set order windows, with re-arm and cancel rules. Exits: stop-loss on every order, fake-out exit, break-even, trailing; a cap on the open risk.
- Daily Range Breakout, DRB (magic 911021): a stop order resting at each side's trigger from the previous day's range; at most one trade per side per day; no entries on NFP and FOMC days (dates built in up to December 2027). Exits: fixed stop of 5.0 (price), target, Friday close.
- Swing Level Breakout, SLB (magic 911031): breaks of swing levels, one position at a time. Exits: stop of 0.30 x the daily ATR, its own exits; since version 1.04 a lock (on by default): once a trade is 0.3 % of its entry price in profit its stop moves to the entry, and its target is never more than 0.5 % away.
- Swing Pivot Breakout, SPB (magic 911022): a market order when price reaches its trigger just short of a swing high or low of the last 140 H1 bars; each swing level is used once, one position at a time; no entries on NFP and FOMC days (the same dates as DRB). Exits: fixed stop of 15.0 (price), a target of about 0.33 % of the price, a profit lock, and an early exit when the entry's M1 or M15 bar closes against the trade.
The AI models are built into the EA file, so nothing is downloaded and no DLL is used.
The panel
One card per engine shows what it is doing now, its closed profit for the chosen period, how it sizes its lot, and the open profit or loss of its trades.
- TODAY / WEEK / MONTH / ALL buttons choose the period of the closed profit (server time); the panel remembers the choice.
- Each card's lot line: Auto at its risk % with the size of the next lot, Fixed with that engine's lot, or the profile name (Low, Moderate, Medium, High) with its lot and balance step; a note appears when the minimum lot makes a trade riskier than set.
- A badge on top gives the account's state: running, market closed, Algo Trading off, account stop hit, offline, wrong chart, or all engines off.
- TOTAL adds the five engines; the account stop row shows how far equity is below its peak against the 30 % stop; with trades open, a live check counts the trades that carry a broker stop-loss.
- Risk meter (new in 1.05): the worst drop of the 2010-2026 backtests at the lots you set, scaled to today's gold price, in USD and % of the balance: LOW under 25 %, MEDIUM 25-50 %, HIGH above 50 % (HIGH also shows one alert at start; it never blocks trading); the log notes when the figure is above your account stop. It is a stress figure from the tests, not a limit: a future drawdown can be larger.
- A row appears when other positions or orders on the symbol (manual or another EA) are open: the EA does not manage or count them.
- Dark or light theme, size and corner by input; the [-] button folds it to three rows.
- It only reads: it never opens, changes or closes an order, and never shows the account number.
Quick setup
Group 1, START HERE (since 1.05), holds the eight inputs most buyers need: Risk / lot size, the account stop, the AI trading preset and the five engine switches. Attach the EA to an XAUUSD M15 chart and it runs with Auto by balance; check the risk meter on the panel.
Lot size and risk
One dropdown, Risk / lot size, sizes every engine; the buyer picks the risk.
- Auto by balance (default since 1.05): 0.01 lot per 6,800 USD of balance, rounded down, never below 0.01, for every engine, so PLS trades on small accounts too. It equals the Low profile and is the size of the published 0.01-lot tests at 10,000 USD.
- Auto by risk %: risk % per trade from the balance and the trade's stop: the AI by its preset (SAFE by default); PLS 0.22 % per trade, open risk capped at 2.81 % (careful level); DRB, SLB and SPB 0.50 % each. Below the broker's minimum lot, the AI, DRB, SLB and SPB trade the minimum lot (so a small account risks more than the set %), while PLS skips the order: at a 4,000 USD gold price PLS starts placing orders at about 6,400 USD and runs all eight of its strategies from about 76,500 USD (three at 10,000 USD). Small accounts that want PLS should use Auto by balance, a named profile or Fixed lot.
- Low / Moderate / Medium / High: 0.01 lot per 6,800 / 4,600 / 3,400 / 2,800 USD of balance, rounded down, for every engine; in the tests these gave a closed-trade drawdown of about 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 % of the balance.
- Fixed lot: every order uses the Fixed lot input. Group 2 can give each engine its own fixed lot (AI, PLS, DRB, SLB, SPB; 0 = the main fixed lot), for example 0.10 for the AI, DRB, SLB and SPB and 0.01 for PLS.
- By balance (older settings): the balance step in group 2; .set files of earlier versions keep working.
PLS's open-risk cap applies in every Risk / lot size mode: an order is skipped when the risk of the open PLS positions plus its own would pass 2.81 % of the balance. At 2,800 USD this skips three of the eight strategies (the wide-stop ones) even at 0.01 lot.
Account stop: if equity falls 30 % (default; 0 = off) below its peak, the EA closes every engine's positions, deletes their orders and stops until it is reloaded.
Capital at 0.01 lot for a LOW risk meter (the tests' worst drop under 25 % of the balance) at a 4,000 USD gold price:
- All five engines: 4,000 USD (risk meter figure 988 USD; MEDIUM from about 2,000 USD, HIGH below; above the 30 % account stop below about 3,300 USD)
- AI only: 2,500 USD (614 USD)
- PLS only: 3,700 USD (928 USD)
- DRB only: 900 USD (220 USD)
- SLB only: 800 USD (192 USD)
- SPB only: 400 USD (104 USD)
The figures are the worst equity drop of the 2010-2013, 2015-2020 and 2021-2026 backtests at 0.01 lot (weekly closed results x 1.25 for open trades), the AI, PLS and SLB scaled to the gold price; the risk meter computes the same for your lots and today's price. A future drawdown can be larger. The table counts every PLS strategy at 0.01 lot; at these balances PLS's 2.81 % cap skips its wide-stop strategies, and in Auto PLS places no order yet. SPB's stop is a fixed 15.0 while its target scales with the price, so at today's gold price it trades differently from those years.
Fixed and Preset assume a USD account and a 100 oz gold contract; on a cent account use Auto.
Backtest results
Out-of-sample check (new in 1.04): January 2021 to September 2026, years never used during development, version 1.04 with its defaults except Fixed lot 0.01 on every engine, real ticks, 10,000 USD: net profit +9,321 USD, profit factor 1.45, 8,677 trades, max equity drawdown 3.76 % (527 USD). Every year closed with a profit: 2021 +544, 2022 +694, 2023 +1,046, 2024 +1,373, 2025 +3,087, 2026 (to September) +2,576 USD. Every engine was profitable: PLS +6,083, AI +1,818, SPB +674, DRB +388, SLB +357 USD. Most of the profit came in 2025-2026, a strong rise in gold.
In MT5 Strategy Tester backtests on real ticks, the five engines together closed every one of the 10 tested years with a profit; the deepest equity drawdown was 12.3 %. These years were used during development, so the results are in-sample.
- 2010-2013 (in-sample): net profit +21,678 USD, profit factor 1.21, 5,808 trades, max equity drawdown 10.2 % (largest drop 2,179 USD).
- 2015-2020 (in-sample): net profit +30,829 USD, profit factor 1.18, 8,259 trades, max equity drawdown 12.3 % (largest drop 4,665 USD).
Settings: XAUUSD M15, every tick based on real ticks, 10,000 USD per window, Lot size Auto (defaults), account stop 30 %, version 1.01. Versions 1.02 and 1.03 change only the lot inputs and the input list: with the default inputs they repeated version 1.01 deal for deal (January to June 2016), and with SPB switched off version 1.01 repeated version 1.00 deal for deal. Version 1.04 changes only SLB (its lock): at 0.01 lot its result was +277 USD instead of +325 in 2010-2013 (drawdown 35 instead of 60 USD) and +186 instead of +167 in 2015-2020; the other engines repeated their trades. Version 1.05 changes no trading rule: with the same inputs it repeated version 1.04 deal for deal (January to June 2016), and Auto by balance repeated the Low profile deal for deal. Past results do not guarantee future results.
Against version 1.00 on the same tests: net profit +18,569 to +21,678 USD (2010-2013) and +27,686 to +30,829 USD (2015-2020); max equity drawdown 10.0 to 10.2 % and 12.5 to 12.3 %.
By engine, 2010-2013 / 2015-2020 (USD): AI -2,192 / +13,159; PLS +11,804 / +13,645; DRB +5,376 / -1,097; SLB +4,693 / +3,880; SPB +1,998 / +1,242 - the AI and DRB each lost in one window; the five together gained in both.
Recommendations
Run it on one XAUUSD M15 chart of a hedging account, on a VPS.
- Symbol: XAUUSD (gold), 100 oz per lot. The engines' distances are set for gold; in live trading no engine opens a trade on other symbols (PLS, DRB, SLB and SPB log that they are off) and the AI trades M15 charts only; in the Strategy Tester the AI places one validation trade on other charts, so test it on XAUUSD M15.
- Chart: M15, one chart per account. The AI reads M15; PLS, DRB, SLB and SPB refuse a second chart in the same terminal, but the AI has no lock of its own, so a second chart or terminal on the same account would double its trades.
- Account: hedging, USD. On a netting account only the AI trades.
- Broker clock: GMT+2 in winter, GMT+3 in summer (New York close), as most MT5 brokers. The daily range, sessions and news days were tested on that clock.
- Broker orders: stop orders with a stop-loss and take-profit allowed. DRB rests its entries as stop orders; SPB enters at market.
- Deposit: 4,000 USD or more with all five engines at 0.01 lot (risk meter LOW); 6,800 USD per 0.01 lot with Auto by balance; in Auto by risk %, PLS starts at about 6,400 USD. Smaller accounts trade the minimum lot and the risk meter shows the larger share at risk.
- VPS: recommended, running 24/5. The engines keep state files and catch up after a restart.
- Deal file (new in 1.05): the EA keeps MQL5/Files/GPA_deals_<symbol>_<code>.csv with the deals of its own positions (no account number), for comparing live trading with the Strategy Tester.
Other EAs can run beside it: its magic numbers differ from Gold GodTier 90.8, and its account stop leaves other EAs' orders alone. Its AI is the AI of Gold GodTier 90.8, so with both AI engines on, the AI's trades come twice: switch the AI off in one of them.
Input parameters
Most buyers only touch group 1. Inputs removed in 1.03 keep their former default value; .set files of every earlier version still load (input names are unchanged).
